Hey OP might i recommend this book, A Scene In Between by Sam Knee. https://www.bookdepository.com/A-Scene-In-Between/9781908714060

It's basically exactly what you're looking for, lots of full colour photos of this sort of style, including shoegaze/britpop type stuff, with interviews with band members, also some background information as to how these styles developed, etc.

I'm not a shill, I bought the book and it's really cool. It's also makes a great coffee table book too

I love these guys. Psychocandy is wonderful, but I'm not sure they're exactly traditional shoegaze

These guys are also fantastic. Very mellow sounding.

Actually can we have some music recommendations here as far as shoegaze and similar sounds go.

I see a lot of people who like electronic or hip-hop or what have you, and sometimes there are the classic rock people, as well as the pop-punk/punk fans, but never enough shoegaze. I also am a big fan of experimental/avant garde influenced music.
