I was thinking of getting that bag. I go to NYU and I see a bunch of qt Asian girls and other students wearing this bag. It looks really good, here's a picture of like the 5th girl I've seen wearing this bag

Hershels are crap and ugly.

I like the look of Kankens but are they waterproof? I have a really basic Jansport and it sucks up water like a bitch. Was thinking about getting something like this maybe.

I have a kanken 2 which has a different fabric from the regular kanken. It came waxed and very waterproof, the wax has rubbed off a bit so I should probably reapply it soon, but it's still been keeping my stuff dry. I have no idea if the regular kanken is less waterproof, though.

I bought one and returned it the same day because the leather pull tab ripped off. Another friend bought a different model and the zippers broke pretty quickly. I have to say they look really nice, but they're garbage at least in my experience.

I have a Kanken Laptop 17" bag in Royal Blue. I love this shit, my only complaint is that the little pocket on the side is nearly useless. I just wish it was a bit more flexible to hold a bigger bottle. Everything else is great.

I have this one from Rains that has been great over the last six months. Rainproof and good size, doesn't look it but can fit A3. Absolutely everywhere in Copenhagen where I got it, but have only seen it once since coming back to the UK.
