Don't believe /b/ and /fit/, most people don't care about height that much. There's just so much more to a person, and even style than height.
I know the "just be yourself man" meme has been taken too far at this point, but if you have to try hard to look a certain way, it's almost never worth it. I'm not trying to go into conclusions here, but if you'd buy a worse looking pair of shoes over a better looking one for the higher soles, then that might be an issue with your body image or whatever, and no shoes will fix that.

Fucking Timberland boots. I'm 6'2 but with boots on i'm 6'3 Just be prepared because walking down stairs can be tricky and you may have to watch your head. My doorway I have to duck in these boots.

They give you a good inch. Get the mid tops and you can also sneak some 1" lifts in there pretty easily. More than that and it may start to be noticeable, especially if you're wearing shorts. I'm 5'6" but I claim 5'8" by wearing these and avoiding loose fits, horizontal stripes, and long hair. There's lots of stuff you have to be aware of as a manlet in order to avoid emphasizing your shortness, from how you carry yourself to how you do your hair.

Also, to anyone saying height doesn't matter, look at who runs for president, average Ceo heights, and all the OKC studies where short dudes clearly get fewer messages. It's not about us being butt hurt, it's about accepting that prejudice still exists, and trying to do the best with The cards we've been dealt. Manlet is not a death sentence, but it certainly is not ideal, and the shorter you are the more difficult it gets. The struggle of 5'8" is hardly comparable to mine, and neither of us will ever know the true hardship of our 5'3" friend. Good luck man.

I'm 5'6'' and this was a nice read. I agree with everything apart from the prejudice part. I don't think people are prejudice against short people, we're all programmed since caveman time to like certain traits. It's like how good looking people live easier lives on average compared to ugly people.

Since you seem to know a bit, are there any styles us manlets should avoid? I'm into streetwear (looking at, not wearing) cuz I feel I'd look like a teenager trying to be swaggy if I wore some.

Avoid anything baggy or oversized, it can look nice on tall models and girls but on us it looks like you borrowed your dads coat. Obviously try to avoid sandals and flat skate shoes like converse. Avoid shorts, horizontal stripes, cuffed jeans, anything that prevents the eye from running smoothly up your figure. Streetwear is tough, and really out of my personal taste, but I'd say stay away from drop crotches, and don't wear all black- it will make you look smaller.

Formal wise- Keep it tightly tailored, jacket should match pants. Look at Aziz Ansari for good manlet formal / preppy fashion.

I wear docmartens with cheap inserts I got off some tranny website. Really, most boots seem fine to me. I've been looking for some work boots to subsitute though, since I've been wearing the same pair of docs for months.

I heard attaching a belt around your neck or some sort of leach with some looseness and then hanging from it whilst also applying some sort of heavy weight to your feet will increase your growth spurt. I know short people who have tried this method weekly and gained growth spurts even after reaching theirs long ago.

I recommend this to any manlets out there trying to join the 6"2+ master race.
