I wore these in high school in 2008 (yes, the checkered ones ...)

If anything's making a "comeback," it's the all-white or black-top-with-white-sole variety. And, I don't think the ones I see are even Vans, but something with the same design, but higher-quality, and usually made of leather.

Anyone know w2c these higher-end variants I'm describing?
