Edinburgh is beautiful, I love living here and the university is one of the best in the world. It's big enough to have enough interesting things to do but doesn't feel like a city - lots of green spaces, parks, coast, easy access to the countryside, etc. It's very safe, has LOTS of culture. Not particularly fashionable people but a lot of students dress well. Not great for shopping but Glasgow is 40 minutes away on the train.

historically and aesthetically places like Berlin, Paris, London, and Stockholm are all very effay,
but considering the political situation of each of these cities right now; they're not places you would want to be
hopefully in the distant future the situation will decline and these cities can regain their pride and they'll learn from their mistakes

atm the only effay city that springs to mind that isn't plagued with muslim refugees is Tokyo and anywhere else you might consider effay in east asia
