I've realised that if you try and emulate prep entirely, without putting a kind for modern twist on it, you look autistic.

How are penny loafers suppose to fit? I got Sebago TTS and they stretch out too much. My heels slip slightly when walking but the front seem to fit perfectly. It's weird.

Some of my lace up shoes are even bigger and the heels don't slip that much.

You have to improvise and not just cosplay it, because that's what the guys in these Japanese Ivy inspo pics were doing. I cringe when I see men's fashion blogs calling J. Press a stolid conservative brand, because their whole thing is interesting colors, in-your-face informal cuts and fabrics, and stuff you can throw together in new ways. They got big because they were a more youthful alternative to stodgy old Brooks Brothers but now these borderline cosplayers think its always been the stodgy one (except for that time they introduced Madras and Seersucker to the mainstream market.) Yep. Basically the trouser breaking on the shoe is something that's a side effect of cleaner, drier streets. This. I'm a student at UCLA and it's a good school but no Ivy (Also it's free lmao). Same for Stanford. It's not even about academic quality, which is pretty decent, just none of those schools have the kind of history, tradition, or setup the Ivies do.
