501 ct are pretty great. Make sure you try em on though, they fit wildly different depending on the wash. I'm a 31x32 in one pair and a 32x34 in another

I got some light wash 510s from before they ruined the fit but I have skeletor thighs so they're a little big in that region. Would it be worth it to taper the thigh area a little bit? Or is slim-but-not-tight more pale? I'll post a picture if requested.
