I own a pair of 511's and I really like them. that being said though I prefer the feel of slim jeans, it's more comfortable to me than non slim, and they look better than baggier pairs

but it's all down to opinion, I only own a couple pairs of H&M jeans and 1 pair of levis so I can't speak on everything

541s do taper at the bottom. I don't remember the measurement exactly but I doubt its any wider at the cuff than a pair of 501s.

Recently picked up a pair of these. Tack slim, I guess is what they're calling it. They're having 40% sales on their site rn so it turns out more reasonable.
It's a bit of a snug fit for me but I could stand to lose a few lbs

idk their cuts are shit now. like only 3 years ago 510 and 511 are perfect but now they are shitty proportion wise and not at all slim compared to the old ones.

i used to wear 511's, and switched to these instead. the main difference i found with the two is that obviously, the tack slim's have much better quality. the feel of the ts' is much smoother, and despite the cotton being thinner they still feel sturdy. the cut is a bit looser than the 511's, and doesn't taper really at all past the knee, but it doesnt take away from its flatter. however, take your regular 511 size to get the best fit. definitely the biggest the reason i prefer the tack slims so much over the 511's is its high rise. i can tuck in my shirt and it looks pretty good.

they arent dad. they're really nice. go for them if they're on sale

I used to use 501's, but would have to get a new pair every other year after getting /fit/, because the crotch would start to slowly rip open from dem quads; also probably because I was stupid and machine washed them bi-monthly. Switched to 505's and have been using the same pair for almost 2+ years, now.

Quick question: they're starting to look pretty grimy, been about a year since their last wash, should I machine wash/gentle dry, or just soak them in the tub with some detergent and let em air dry?

grab some woolite and soak in your tub scrubbing it with your hands after 30 minutes then let it sit for another 30. air dry afterwards overnight preferably.

I usually get the ankle area and sometimes shin too tailored because I have to shop 1-2 sizes up due to my legs

511. Levi's fit is a crapshoot though. I prefer Uniqlo Slim Selvedge for about the same money but they don't have a lot of options for color/wash.

and im also a 177-179cm manlet so the number 32 and 34 need tailoring because theyre too long
