Ive got an unpadded ma1 and id say it's a spring jacket.
Maybe the padded or unpadded with a hoody you could do winter with, depending on you climate

I have a vf-59. I've worn it between -10 and +10 Celsius. In -10 it starts to get chilly, but I think the best weather to wear it is around -5 to 5. One of the problems I've run in to is the collar, it's open and cold wind really gets to your throat. Overall I think it's a nice jacket, also if you don't want a bulky torso, then you should get >>10979990

I have a sage MA-1 and I want a black one but I'm a complete autist about the brass zipper on it. Are there any other brands that have the same structure and sheen as Alpha? I can't seem to find a suitable substitute.
