There's many different versions of the Zenbook. The original one was god-tier, the other (Prime, slightly thicker ones etc.) are slightly worse.

Still, looks ten times better than anything else out there. Actually got like 3-4 girls in uni asking about it, wanting to switch from their Macbooks.

i know a someone who got a zenbook. one of the keyboards keys failed, he sent it in for repair and had to wait like 3 weeks, and when he got it back the key was still shit plus he had dead pixels on the screen.
there was a german site who tested the laptop service of all the big manufacturers and asus was by far the worst followed by Acer. they both build cheap consumer craptops.

rather get a Thinkpad T460s, a HP Elitebook or zBook, or simply a Dell XPS/ Precision.

The only reason I bought a new zenbook was because I accidentally dropped my old one on the ground and broke it. But even after 2 ½ years of use, it was still going as if it was brand new. Have never been more satisfied with a computer I own.

Sorry, I don't know much about windows. I might be a linux shill but why not try linux? like in a virtual machine or dual booting.

If you spend most of your time with only the browser or non Windows specific programs. it might be a choice to consider.
Then, you can switch back to windows for the Office suite, windows specific software, video games or whatever reason you use windows for.

If for some reason you don't want to use Linux at all, then my advice would be to try out different tools that were presented on the previous links, ask on forums and so on.
There's a subreddit for people who rice windows I think. It might be a good place to start as /g/ will likely reject you for asking "trivial" stuff or refuse to share it.
Once you get started, try asking the dudes in the desktop threads. I don't like most of them but maybe you'll get along better than I did.
