Can you guys suggest something that is both durable and practical but still /fa/? I thought cargo trousers are comfy, but apparently they're no longer acceptable. Preferably I want to find something khaki, that I can match in a hoodie or t-shirt.
>inb4 5.11
I'm also looking for recommendations for shoes. Currently I'm either wearing runners, or a boot. Is there something in between that's more utilitarian?
>>
>>10962958
Get quality gear. It's not /fa/ but it has style to it.
http://www.fjallraven.us/collections/pants/products/vidda-pro-trousers-hiking-pants

You can't really be tactikool with cheap shit.
>>
>>10962977
Possible to wear cargo without looking like a sperg?
>>
>>10962958
get these topo designs mountain pants. theyre super thick and durable, nice slim fit too.

cargo trousers/shorts are only applicable for one occasion: hard-core outdoorsing. I'm not talking a hike on a trail with trees in the background, I mean full on, zero fucking map cartographer type trekking.
>>
Here's a light boot that isn't leather.
http://tacticalgear.com/nike-8-sfb-field-british-khaki?gclid=Cj0KEQiArou2BRDcoN_c6NDI3oMBEiQANeix5qBtLxlRFmo0EmXVFVGGFz_kOfGA6P1lYHu96oVlDe4aAp2Y8P8HAQ#/20608/435,5129,11383/1?dl=b

I'd get some nice real leather boots with a lug sole for my tactikool fit though
>>
>>10962985
Just be attractive and there is no sperg. Work out, be lean, make sure your clothes fit properly. That's it.
>>
>>10962988
What is this style called? This is pretty subtle
>>10962989
These look similar to my issued ones.
>>

If you look like you could be in the army you won't look ridiculous in cargo pants

>If you look like you could be in the army you won't look ridiculous in cargo pants

I am in the Army, but I'm Asian, does that factor into "the look"? Because lets face it, people usually think of pic related in regards to military.
>>
nigga ou have a FUCKING GUN why would you care if cargo pants were not acceptable
>>
>>10964528
most people who are in the army look like they are in the army

yeah they all look the same
>>
>>10962958
surprised no one has suggested this,
Outlier https://outlier.cc/ some really sturdy gear, very technically focused fabrics/materials
>>
overalls maybe? i don't know your style but they're kind of making a comeback, if you don't mind the slackercore / normcore aesthetic.
>>
>>10964720
this, prepare your transition into techwear.
For shoes take a look at Lizard Footwear, an italian outdoor/barefoot brand that uses vibram soles

You should search for the term "techwear" in your search engine of choice. This is as /fa/ and /k/ as it gets.

>Techwear
What does this remind me of ninjas...? Seems a bit edgy
>>
>>10967377
Maybe you just don't live in a cold place.
Techwear is essentially only supposed to be worn in cold weather, really. If you live in the PNW like me, tech wear is just common place.
>>
>>10967839
Actually, it doesn't look half bad Arcteryx is expensive af

Jeans.

They were literally designed to be durable and practical. That's the whole reason Levis' old fashioned logo showed two horses unable to pull apart a pair.
>>
>>10968860
You could wear Jeans and a Waxed Cotton jacket which would have been peak outdoor wear for 1900 but this is 2016
>>
>>10968865
And? Jeans are awesome, waxed cotton is awesome. I see no reason to reinvent the wheel with shitty technical fabrics when there are obviously awesome options already available.

There's a time and a place for technical fabrics, don't get me wrong - but for casualwear, erring on the side of traditional and natural cloths and cuts does wonders.
>>
>>10968874
Obviously so that they can melt to your skin
>>

Clearly I would rather have nice lightweight waterproof clothes than heavy smelly old clothes.

I wanted practical clothes that didn't look too /out/, all my wardrobe is merino, Primaloft and Schoeller and it's really nice to go anywhere and not worry about the weather.

I'm just disappointed in the Outlier Dungarees, the stitching was all over the place. I got them since I wanted a style made in the USA but fuck it China can sew better.

I only wear maharishi pants tbqh

ahahaha you're such a fucking loser it's unbelievable

please put up a pic of yourself so that we may all laugh
>>
>>10962958
Cargo's you posted are not, but subtle ones are awesome. Case in point techwear cargos a la nike acg, maharishi and guerilla group
>>
>>10962958

cargo joggers are the way to go.

some brands look like diapers, then there is the "streetwear" garbage, then there are the ones that are designed well that do fit and look like they can carry shit and accommodate your thighs and ass without having a bunch of extra material flopping around your ankles.
>>
>>10966674
I'll say this again.

Techwear is NOT effay!

>>

I dunno, they're just really comfy and hold up well. I don't really go full blown techwear and just wear maharishi pants.

Wear them in 90 degree weather all year long and no problems with the heat
