Oh god, those fakes remind me of a spree I went on reporting fake goods on Vestiaire and Grailed. There was a guy trying to sell a bunch of the Moody Big Shorts in various sizes on Grailed, had a back and forth about that - turns out he bought them from a guy in Italy for really cheap. Was able to find the replicas with a simple aliexpress search.
Secondly, found some fake sock ramones that actually sold for $500 on Vestiaire which their "authenticity experts" supposedly verified. Was able to find the exact ones on aliexpress for like 60 bucks.

Be careful out there boys
>>
>>10959878
Little market but they're cool af. But they're gonna be tough to resell and make anything unless you're getting them for a few hundred less than retail.
>>
>>10959967
Yeah, I've seen Sock Runners on aliexpress that look somewhat decent, but fakes are so easy to spot that you'd have to intentionally not look at them to think they're legit.

Always careful, man. Can confirm that the Hoofdunks are real (I know the supply chain) and being sold for something like $250 AUD. Thinking of copping and putting them up on Grailed for $500US and seeing what bites. Wish me luck.

Also I bought mega Hoofs from the same place and love them.

On Vestiaire, I believe they don't legit check it until the seller sends it to them. Do you tie your geobaskets loose or tight? I like how they look in both manners but I feel like when I lace them tight I'm not doing the shoe justice.

Yeah. There's not much added to non-boots footwear in years. Something else than the leather socks and island dunks? Not counting new colorways ofc.

For example these (picture) were one (or possible two) season thing. They're not much different than the usual rick hightops but it's still fun with a few differences.
>>
>>10967139
What do you consider subtle?
>>
>>10967159
Well, usually (might be because I know how it looks because of /fa/) people always wear it so you can tell it's Rick Owens style. It's hardly ever something that is mixed with their own style.

An example from /fa/ is probably Laserface

I don't really see your case here. The clothes are not branded. Maybe you feel the clothes are so distinct that it's not much different from carrying a brand on them? But if that's the case I feel that you can reason that you buy the clothes for their style. There's no lack of top-end stuff that's easy to wear and goes with anything.

Not held up in customs or anything?

Either way - be warned, they start pilling like crazy but they're SUPER warm, so comfy. Almost like compression socks.

Glad I went for the size 2 though, they looked tiny when I first got them but stretched to my foot perfectly.

Ima cop some Cyclops 'eye' ones aswell I think.

I have a Raf turtleneck that I love under my blazers and tailored outerwear. Usually I throw the turtleneck on, then the Rick's tank (one size, non racer back) over that like a tunic. My favorite though are the poplin "Moody tunic" with the leather band collar and zipper closure. That, wool tailored pods and matching wool double vent or faun peacoat is my super dressy "going out" outfit.
Honestly I don't mind just wearing an unstable tee under the blazer.

Wish I had a better pic, that's from a snap story I think

Quality is the same. Produced in the same factories. Same fabrics. Mine was fully cupro lined though which is sometimes rare. You'll see the back lined in cotton while shoulders and sleeves are cupro. Can't say for sure what's consistent about it. Haven't found any rhyme or reason to that or why some leathers are made in Moldova versus Italy - often even the same leather code and cut, but black will be made in Moldova while dust will be Italy (could be because they produce higher quantity of black, idk).
Anyway one reason Rick is so popular especially on the second hand market is his consistent quality.

I work in a brothel ("secretary position"). Hopefully I'll own it in the future since the owner really likes me.

Anyone have any experience with the "LD" crinkled lamb leather? Considering the stooges on grailed

It's garbage. Least favorite Rick leather.
>>
best starting rick pieces?
>>
>>10970139
Really? Why so?

Tees. Always the tees and tanks. Some of his outerwear is great to. You should start with something that meshes woth your current wardrobe and slowly add more (if you want to weae rick all the time). If you have a few hundred to use get a tee, pods or prisoners, some ramones or geos and wala.

Feels unpleasant, looks like trash. Light thin leather but not soft. It's just bad. It looks almost fake. Trust me, there's a reason retailers that bought them couldn't sell them.

>>10970300
do u not prisoners look weird from behind? I think the mainline ones look great but they're so much more than the drkshdw ones

Anyone know what the approximate discount is during a end of season sale for rick jackets? Been eyeing a RO jacket on Ssense but I rather wait for it to be on discount to buy it. Would you say it goes for atleast 30%+ off?
>>
>>10970412
seen jackets go as low as 50% - but if it is sort after the stock will usual go in the first round of sales which could be like 20%
>>
>>10970412
That's a fair guess. Permanent items and some that are high in demand usually don't get discounted as much on SSENSE.

its a ma-1 leather bomber. Hervia has the same one right now and its ~1500USD, but I am not sure how custom fees work and it might fuck me up good time. Its currently selling for ~1820USD on ssense (2500CAD)

There was some prime time post apocalyptic TV show a few years ago that I spotted a few Rick pieces in, a leather was the most noticeable.

There are better Lamb leathers out there in my opinion, stuff like Blistered, for instance.

If you want a more 'Leather' looking option /LCW (Heavy Calf) is amazing.

Anyone interested in a pair of KVA Multilaces?

sz 10, great condition
>>
>>10967180
Why do you want to wear Rick Owens then? Are his distinctive silhouettes and proportions not his appeal as a designer?
>>
>>10969321
i would definitely assume so
