Can we have a bag thread?

My age old Puma messenger bag is finally about to break so it's time to replace it with something /fa/. What I've learned from lurking here is that black, minimalist backpacks are in right now. Looking at pic related, planning on removing the logo.

http://www.asos.com/nicce-london/nicce-logo-backpack-in-black/prod/pgeproduct.aspx?iid=5921092&clr=Black&SearchQuery=nicce+london+backpack&pgesize=5&pge=0&totalstyles=5&gridsize=3&gridrow=2&gridcolumn=2

What bag are you using, /fa/?

Bought it cause I needed a backpack for school and it was the only one I found that wasn't ugly as fuck
Will probably just get Eastpak once this breaks.

Anyone using the Eastpak provider, and had experience with their 30 year guarantee?
I was thinking of one in "double denim" but its a much darker shade (in pic) on Amazon than on Eastpak's site (where it's pale blue) so might be better to go for just black.
Also what does "straps with SGS" mean?

Just pick one which works with your everyday color scheme. The one on the far left is the most neutral, and so will fit perfectly with most every outfit. Middle will go with any lunar core outfit. Right will fit with 90's middle school fashion. Don't buy it.

OK /fa/ I really need your advice on choosing a backpack.
(Eastern European poorfag student, so price ceiling's around 60-70 euro)
I used to go with an H&M pack I copped for 20 something euro, but
A)Quality is shit, it's been to my local repairs twice already in about half a year, once with a shoulder strap tear and another one - laptop sleeve.
B) It does not have any organizing qualities, and I recently found out I need those seriously. Lotta stuff I usually carry around, so I do need a lot of pockets.
That said, I don't want my new pack to be too big. My H&M is 12 1/4 x 17 1/4", that sizing fits me well. I wouldn't mind it being a little wider, but definitely not taller.
By now I have only checked out two Jansports - Right Pack, but practically no organization puts me off, and Big Student - but I don't know how good would a 17" sleeve be for my 15" laptop. Plus Jansport has ceased shipping to EU, I could get a guy I know proxy one for me from the US, but that is better avoided.
Stuff I carry around on a daily basis: 15" laptop and power adapter, wireless mouse, 5"x3" power bank, a textbook with a couple notebooks, a 6" e-reader, some pens/pencils, a lunchbox, a 0.5 water bottle, a leatherman.
I'd like my pack dark grey/black coloured, it's harder to ruin such color.
Any advice would be really appreciated anon.

>>10936243

>>
>>10951773
Oh and yeah. I'm also looking at:
>ACME Peak
Seems alright, but no warranty, company with barely any experience with bags, and far as I know shoulder pad gets in the way when you pull the straps into backpack configuration.
>Samsonite Urban Arc
Looks beautiful hands down, but pricey, either 14.5 or 16 inch, and people seem to have bad experience with samsonites.
>Samsonite Xenon 2
Not as pricey, still a lot of pockets, but again, there is quite a number of negative reviews on Amazon quoting horrible stitching quality.
Neither of those really did fit me, but maybe it'll help you >>10951785 anon.
>>
>>10951867
I was thinking of Samsonite, but alot of them do look boxy whereas some look nice. Hearing about the bad experiences do put me off.

I was looking at these just now and was thinking of removing the patch/ replacing it. But Idk, I just need something good quality and well space that doesn't look like a jetpack.

>>10951888
Evanz doesn't look good, Pokker might work, but if their laptop compartment size quoted is not just the sleeve but the whole thing - it's gonna be a tight fitter. My laptop is 383 x 259 if we talk millimeters.

Just copped this Rains backpack, the colour I wanted was the only one on sale.

I'm happy with the purchase. It's pretty spacious, the material gives it a rigid strucutre and it has a surprisingly practical amount of pockets and slots to store notes and pens and whatnot. It's a pretty eye-catching piece in general, almost everyone I've spoken to since getting it has commented on it.

Another nice feature is the fact that the straps adjest with buckles rather than pull tabs, meaning they don't slip and become looser.
>>
>>10951996
>adjest

>>
>>10951924
Yeah, I just need something sleek really, and mine is 25 x 384 x 265 mm (H x W x D) got this from the site. I don't like the red insides of the pokker though, I'll have to see then.

>>10951959
I like their look but the UK site for them is confusing af, also these people gotta be short as hell I'm hoping it'd look better on taller people.
>>
>>10952033
Also I've been looking at Victorinox, the Altmont 3 Deluxe Laptop Backpack is oh-my-god-so-cool good but WAY out of my league, same with Werks Professional Entrepereur, but I do like Altmont 3.0 Standard. Looks like something that can accomodate what I usually carry.
>>
>>10952053
Are the reviews on the Almont good? I feel like the fabric looks too thin imo, Idk. Just seeing the Werks and it looks sleek but it's quite expensive for my budget.

Standard definetly looks good and patchable at a low price but size seems like it won't fit much i guess

Much as I know yes. True that Standard doesn't have as much organizing value as most of 'noxes do, but then again, seeing
>Stuff I carry around on a daily basis: 15" laptop and power adapter, wireless mouse, 5"x3" power bank, a textbook with a couple notebooks, a 6" e-reader, some pens/pencils, a lunchbox, a 0.5 water bottle, a leatherman
it'll probably be able to fit it all especially if I make use of external stach pockets for my powerbank/leatherman.

w2c a decent looking laptop bag/briefcase for an office job I've been hired for. Since my last gig involved a lot of outdoor work, rain or shine, I've already spent a bit updating the rest of my wardrobe, but all I've got for luggage right now are backpacks that don't look particularly professional.

I was thinking something like a grey canvas.

sturdiest bag I've ever had. it's waterproof, and has so, so much space

I recommend you avoid messenger bags and stick with a high-end tote or a shoulder bag

are the shoulder straps comfortable? I've adamantly avoided Chrome ever since they got bought out

yeah the shoulder straps are comfy af but the chest strap is annoying to hook on.

who did they sell out to? i haven't been paying attention

I love the porter-yoshida bags but they're too expensive for me at this point in time.

I reckon second one would carry more but the 1st one is in better lighting so looks more pleasing. Depends on whether you want the side parts I guess. Really like the design of 1stbut seems more hiking/cycling based whereas the second looks more of a general backpack for school/work/day

Got this to replace a very old atticus backpack, first time considering something /fa. Hybrid military duffel and fold over. heaps of space, straps switch from backpack, across chest, messenger, or whatever you feel. There's also a sneaky little zip pocket for keys/leatherman etc you can get to comfortably while still on your back.

Honestly I'm terribly disappointed with my kanken. It's small and those thin fucking straps cut into my shoulders when I carry heavy books. The zippers are tight and annoying as fuck.
One positive thing is that the material keeps water out pretty well and dries out quickly.
As much as I hate my basic eastpak (not waterproof, it's falling apart after less than three years of daily use), I've come to prefer it to the kanken.

w2c decent bowlling bag

Don't fall for that

It's true yes but it excludes the zippers.
Guess what breaks the most on those eastpak bags?:^)

That being said they're still more reliable than Herschell's in my opinion
