Once in a while

I really want to get into it, but I'm looking for some general thrift tips. Knowing me, I'll just spend hours looking for that gem, feel like I have to find SOMETHING, and buy something retarded.

Any tips? I think the best thing I could find would be vintage looking jackets, but I'm expecting to be really disappointing by the clothes found in suburban midwest America. Atleast I go to DC for Uni next year.

I thrift everything except jeans and shoes & jackets (can't find the right sizes and styles I want)

I dress business casual most of the time so I buy loads of button down shirts, sweaters, ties etc..
I have a couple suits that I picked up and tailored as well as some twill jackets, button down shirts.

don't underestimate thrift store shoes and caps senpai, i usually didn't even look at them till one day i stumbled upon a pair of leather black timbs in pretty good condition for 25 bucks and just in my size, my best thrift cop to this day but 99% of all shoes on those stores are ugly middleagedwoman-core shit or chucks on horrendous colourways.

Worth a look tho, you never know if you might get lucky

Dude honestly you just go inside the store and pick up anything that catches your eye, try everything on in-store and just walk out with what you want it's really not that difficult lmao.

Back on topic but, thrifiting is fkn great - picked up this bomber jacket a couple months back for like $10

The actual reason I guess is because most people pass the clothes on to younger family members, and adults never get rid of clothes, of they just turn them into pajamas or work clothes. People usually don't think of selling their clothes, they might even find the idea unhigienic perhaps
