I actually liked TheReportOfTheWeek's outfit in his latest review.

I think I'd like it more if the background on his shirt was a little bit lighter - those medium blue shirts never look good to me

I'm a fan, but I feel those pants need a stronger pattern or need to be a bit more contrasting to work correctly (although it may just be the image quality)
>>
Can I still wear a three piece suit or is it basically unacceptable at this point?

3 piece is pretty fashionable at the moment - I don't think it would really be considered unacceptable unless you're both under 25 and working at a conservative office

basically, the creases in trousers serve three purposes - on pants that aren't skin-tight, they provide body and drape so the legs look more consistent in shape from a frontal view; in addition, when you hang your pants up at the end of the day you can fold them along the creases and have them not take up a lot of space

ideally, on pleated pants there's enough fullness to the cut that the main pleat will continue through the crease and create vertical lines all the way up to the waistline - these vertical lines help improve perceptions of height and slimness (as opposed to honeycomb, horizontal wrinkles, or stacking)

>that 80's contrast collar

Why do you people, mostly Americans, still cling to shit like that? Did you just watch Wall Street and want to emulate Gordon Gecko? It looks ridiculous.

>>10923560
Stripes, stripes everywhere! Really guys, it would look much better if only the pants were striped and the others more muted. It just looks too busy and weird now.

Absolutely love the cut on Attolini suits.

Even all their RTW fits almost perfectly from the start, it's bananas.

Contrast collar has been around forever.
It can always look good given the right circumtances.
>>
>>10924017
Typical slim cut, no drape, boring.

>Contrast collar has been around forever.

Sure, but it exploded in popularity in the 80's and is a very defining characteristic of that time. Literally screams "I'm a sleazy car salesman".

I feel that slim cut and drape cut work better on different body shapes and in different situations, but drape cut is definitely much easier to fit than slim cut because you don't have quite as many variables to deal with to make it look good.
>>
>>10924431
dunno, i like the contrast collar look as long as it's subtle - like a white collar on a white/light blue striped shirt

doesn't work unless the rest of the kit is more on the formal end of things though
