Hey I hope you read this because I think it will help. In the winter, my hair would get exactly like yours is now. I hated it. It was disgustingly frail, dry, and overall just untamable. My first step was to stop shampooing. It helped, but my hair was still pretty gnarly. Then I realized if I wasn't shampooing, I needed to use conditioner..
Anyway, I'm rambling about nothing right now but here's what you need to try:

I started taking showers an hour or two before bed instead of in the morning or even quite frequently twice a day.
>Don't dry your hair, don't even touch it after you turn that water off
>don't brush your hair, it will only make it frizzy
>condition every day
>don't use shampoo more than once a week
>eat healthier, drink a ton of water

I'm not a total expert on what products work for all hair types, I really only know how to cater to my own hair (thick and wavy). However, I would suggest trying DevaCurl No-Poo Zero Lather Conditioning Cleanser as a shampoo as it won't rip out the natural oils your hair produces. hair is kind of straight normally

what I do is this
-no shampoo, just rinse everyday whilst showering
-apply sea salt spray after showering
-curl hair with brush whilst blow-drying
-leave it bunned for an hour or so

it normally isn't that wavey, pic related is without any effort. my hair is really thick.

Is it healthy for my hair if I wash it everyday with water only.
I know it's unhealthy with shampoo but I'm doing the straight edge no-poo routine aka water only.
I wash it every other day now and it gets semi greasy on the second day so Is it ok for my hair if I wash it every day?

I think I've finally reached the second awkward stage. My hair looks awkward and weird unless its on a bun, and when I take it out of the bun it looks even more shite.

To make things worse, I'm about 3 months overdue for a trim but I really don't want to lose any more length.

I've been without shampoo or anything for like a week and a half now... haven't showered since Thursday night and my hair is only has a slight grease going. But if I were on my shampooing regime I would be like 3 times as greasy as I am now. For me it was like six days for my hair to stop being really greasy but this required night and morning washes with water only followed by drying off with a towel. I'm considering letting my hair dry naturally now though.

Tip for everyone growing out long hair: TRIM YOUR SHIT UP F4M! Dont just let it go loose you lazy cunt.
The top must be longer than other parts. You have to crop it around the ears and the neck. It will look much better if the ears are visible and if you dont have that crazy mullet going on.

My hair is normally curly as fuck. I've treated it once before this, about a year and a half ago. it turned out pretty well, but I had to cut it for work. I'm able to grow it out again, but it's been looking like shit lately. I'm also looking pretty shit, but am working on it.
