How to make normal hoodies look effay? Pull-overs make layering

muted coloured hoodies are pretty good already

switch out the hoodie strings with something else. change the material, or the length, or maybe the color. get metal shoelace aglets and put them on the ends.

buy oversized t's and gildan hoodies

Layer them with other things for hobocore fits

black, oversized, pull the cords so the hoodies edges rufle up and tie a clean bow
wear with tapered jeans and maybe rather minimal shoes or else you will look completely formless

Sometimes I wear a black hoodie to skinny tailored sweatpants which are heavily textured in black/grey. Over it a grey bomber jacket. It looks quite good but is extremely casual.

Would getting a black one and bleaching patterns in it make me look like a nigger?

my hoodies fit slim/snug so i can layer a loose-fitting sweatshirt/sweater/shirt over it. i'm skinny though so i'm not sure how well that works with someone of average weight

also you can layer a collared jacket without a hood over it

Post example pic. It may be because of the cut of the clothes you're attempting to layer or the build of your body. I have wide shoulders/ribcage and it fucks up layering exactly like you're describing unless the cuts of the clothes are perfect.
