I would say a darker grey looks better with a darker brown, and a lighter grey with a lighter brown

Terribly ill fitting suit. Look at how the collar on the suit is detached from the collar on the shirt! It's at least two inches. Other than that, seems pretty chill.

Appropriate? I wouldn't say they're ever inappropriate in those settings. Cuffed trousers are a normal sight even when it comes to more conservative bransches nowadays, and darker suits.

If you're planning on cuffing, just make sure to have a "no break" on your pants, otherwise it looks stupid.
