I use water and then use some vaseline.

I've probably grown out my hair into a large Afro 3 times over 12 years and every time I shave I seek to find even simpler methods of maintain my hair thickness and length.

I have no receding hairline and I started doing this too around a year ago, i like the look. The buzzer thing I have is a Oster Pro Power and I use the "blend" guard. I find it makes it just low enough. Although No guard looks very clean too!

I have typical "kinky black hair" but not extremely coarse. Texturized this and just styled it by brushing aaalllll my hair to one side and setting in place with a fist full of gel (product made specifically made for afro hair, that white boy shit will fuck your shit up)

What should I do to stop my hair from getting compressed and small from laying down for a couple hrs even after picking it out it becomes smaller than original size? Usually after a shower I can have my hair original size for like a couple of days before it gets smashed down from sleeping.
