yo guys, I need some inspo for creepers
who got the hookups???
>pic not related
Still considering these pups. You guys are sure these fit exactly like geos? Because my geo size is ultrababy 37 (and they look terrible on me). I'm 38 in Ramones, 6.5 in nike and 6 in vans, for some context.
Boots with laces have teir place, I can imagine combat boots without laces looking odd but something as sleek and elegant as a creeper boot would just look bad with laces.
Still looking for general opinions on memphis jeans. Tried them on a couple days ago and I'm trying to figure out how I would wear them with my current pieces. Not sure what footwear would look good with them.
Yeah I know, but it probably couldn't happen until the weekend, and the rick store would have to have them in stock, and I can't show up again and try on shoes and say thanks and leave. At least there's free returns online.
Go in and if they have them try them on and then if you want to avoid any awkward exchange be like yeah im looking for them in a different material, i did that with a jacket not to long ago
The only people I could see caring about this are the ones that try to run an independent boutique. Must be pretty annoying for them to loose revenue over people coming in to try out sizes and buying from the cheapest store online. For huge retailers (like Rick stores) it shouldn't be much of a problem.
Boutiques can't compete on price but they can go for better customer care and selection
- the boutiques I've been haven't seemed to care that much because its part of there
'experience'/ they have different clients to the online stores / they stock completely different
clothes - but desu a few have stopped selling rick all-together so idk if its really comparable?

>make sure they have it in my size
>wait till I get home
>my size sold out.
Hold me ROG or go buy it yourselves. The large is gone and I'm 6'3" and have massive /fit/ shoulders and chest
Just thought you might want it
Would a nice pair of Memphis waxed jeans fit with my Geos? ( Normal geo colourway ) Currently having a hard time deciding which one of these 3 jeans im going to buy. Thoughts?
don't get the plain memphis - looks too plain
between the other two, i like both
i think the julius jeans would be easier to style cuz u dont have the flaps going on, but if u know how to style the memphis go for it
Rick side zip creepers (pic related, can someone tell me what season these are / any more details?)
Guidi 988 Back Zips?
Not sure how I feel about the excessive amount of wrinkles / stacks these have when worn, which I know is sort of the whole aesthetic of the boot, but still I feel like it may be too ~nxtlvl~ for me
Ehh ramones boots are always awkward to me, if I wanted something tall I'd get cargo baskets, creepers, or combats, if I wanted the sneaker look I'd get geos or ramones. I just don't like ramones boots especially since they look nasty unless the tongues are tucked in.
Depends what kind of clothing you usually wear. Creepers work better with looser, rick esque clothing due to the exaggerated toe and chunkier sole imo. Guidis are perfect with slimmer artisanal clothing like ccp, bbs and ma+.
I pretty much wear
Bottom: Black skinny jeans or cropped pants when wearing sneakers
Top: Fitted sweatshirts / hoodies / tees and don't really have many jackets but wanting to pick up a denim and leather one soon
I like both the boots just cause they fit my style but give more of an edge and offer something different rather than just the standard chelsea or combat boot
try and build up your wardrobe with more designer pieces, they're both kinda hard to pull off with regular clothes. ramones would be a bit easier.
bbs isn't that great, ma+ is okay, I was just giving examples of well known brands with that kind of look.
Anyone have some pics of Rick Owens on black people? Actually pretty difficult to google.
>inb4 2014 womenswear runway show
Saw the cutest black family of three in what seemed to be full Rick and it resulted in a slightly different aesthetic. Kinda made me interested in Ricky.
not in full rick but goodkareem on reddit has a few
how possible is it to integrate Rick pieces into a more "normie" wardrobe? I'm thinking stuff like tees and ramones. does that just come off really poorly or can it be done well? I'm interested in picking up some Rick pieces but I don't want to go fully into the aesthetic.
Yes you can integrate rick owens into "normie" outfits but I personally never understood why anyone would want to, why buy ramones if you want them to look like converse for example. But yes t shirt and some boots can look ok in "normie" outfits.
I'm stuck between these two tanks. Any opinions?
That pair on grailed?
Not a bad price. I recently sold mine for 450. Seems to be the going rate. You could risk the SSENSE markdown, they are at 677 right now.
looking for some ramone inspo post me if you got em
rog, i need help, i doubt I'll get a response from the Fuccboi general
looking at some pants from a japanese brand and it has size five in stock, is there a chart available or any info about what that is in EU, or US size?
What jewelry does /rog/ wear with rick owens and what jewelry do you think works well with rick ownes aesthetic?
Sure the fit itself is fine, but his face, haircut, and physique are trash. You can like a fit all toy want but if your personality and face can't pull it off(which this guy isn't at all) then you'll just look goofy
can someone explain these fucking masks please?
will they actually be for sale? are you even supposed to wear them? im so fucking confused
fuck guys i can't pick between all black ramones or white/black ramones. fuckkk
I'm holding out for black/black
Do the face zips all fit long? Anyone got a length on a size XS?
$300 a fair price for brand new black/black techrunners?
I have an issue. Im looking for nice long tees to wear this summer but literally every shirt i try i can see my fucking nips straight through. Any way of hindering this? Tried on a T by alexander wang one today and it just looked ridiculous. help
Rick front zip bikers for 400 , but expect to get duties. Ordered a tee and a sweater under 200 US, so I hope I don't get hit.
could anyone help me out with shoe cleaning? I have pic related but theyre pretty dirty right now. Theres water drop stains on the neoprene? around the toe area (wore em in the rain). how would i go about cleaning these up? never deal with this type of fabric on shoes before. also is there anyway to slightly restore the black waxed laces? mind are pretty faded and dont look waxed at all anymore.
Also I passed on the basket creepers in favor of this hoodie (yoox). Might kick myself later but I'm holding out for black on black ramones.
No, they don't. They don't carry the high runner, just the ankle. Sneakerboy had the ankle for like 365 shipped. Wouldn't pay more than 400 for that variant if you really wanted them desu.
Julian fashion is the site. Only two tiny feet sizes left
What do you guys think of geobaskets in this colourway?
Also if anyone has any inspo with this colourway please post.
I went true. I was told the listed sizing was UK. I hope that's accurate because the rickdidas sizing is weird (UK10=US10.5) and I've had retailers ship me the wrong size pretty much every time regardless of whether I've gotten confirmation or not.
does anyone wear their geobaskets or ramones as their daily/beater shoes? i've decided i'm just going to buy one pair of high quality sneakers to wear for years and years, and get rid of all my others. i like RO shit but i feel like it's maybe too "unique" to be wearing every day.
Whats it like wearing rick owens clothes.
How do you feel in them, are they comfortable? Are geobaskets comfortable, they dont look very secure on the foot. What about Ramones?
Had black dunks. I wore them so much i had to get them resoled 3 times, dyed the worn leather back to black. Still got $250 when i sold them. Ignore all the trolling and enjoy the shoes. Rick footwear is very comfortable and look better with wear.
So i asked in the last thread about some tees to fit with a Rick shorts + Geos fit. I went to NK and tried on a few T by Alexander Wang tees and i had a big problem. You could see my damn nips so easily. What do i need to do? Just buy thicker tees?
Idolt Brooklyn got some Cyclops/SS16 in
Theres palm green pieces and the color looks great on shirts
I've got my eyes on these Plinth pods. I just might pull the trigger on it, because the size is what I've been looking for and the price is really quite low, about USD212.
Can I get a legit check?
Letting go of all animal products I own. Hit me up with trades/offers.
He is a sellout, google the true story. Think for yourself. Tomorrow I am gonna enjoy a nice and bloody sirloin while I am wearing my cow leather jacket, wool sweater and trousers and horse boots. The true enemy is polyester my friend.
Cool then buy my animal products if you're so down with it, friend. We are all on our personal journeys and I hope that one day you too come to the conclusion that a plant based diet/ not consuming animal products not only benefits your own health but the health of the world you inhabit.
So you're going to wear nothing but hemp and cotton?
Because if you wear anything synthetic, Which is oil based, that kinds wrecks the planet
Not only that but I imagine hemp and cotton farming ruins local habitats aswell
Gotta start somewhere. Very rarely does initial pricing on grailed mean anything, no one even bothers offering you until months go by and 5 price drops have passed.
I have an offer of 80$ plus a 350$ raf hoody sitting right now so if that falls through feel free to shoot an offer and ill accept it.
The sock ramones (to my knowledge) have not gone on sale anywhere. The Adidas collab ones have gone on sale but this original iteration for FW15 Sphinx has different materials than the less expensive SS ones dropping soon. Also see above for initial pricing on grailed 101
This is an argument many people tend to take when trying to attack someone who is trying to be less negatively impactful on the world as a whole. It is frankly not the right way to approach things. I understand that you are comfortable in your beliefs but you have to realize that just by being a human you are damaging and utilizing the earth's resources in a harmful manner. The pollution of the earth from garment creation is a real phenomenon but at that same token when it comes to lesser of two evils 1. Being the torture and murder of an innocent creature and 2. Having significantly less environmental impact than the meat/leather industry but still harming the world.
Not to mention that these garments are second hand. The amount of acreage it takes to farm animals is insurmountable when compared to the acreage it takes to grow cotton/natural fibers.
The offer button is enabled. At the end of the day I am just recouping a loss of invested money into clothing I no longer believe in. Better to get a listing out sooner than later.
I can't defend the animal slaughter industry as I imagine it's lot worse than people think it is, but a lot of radical vegans make it out to be the worst it can possibly be.
A dingy rural Chinese slaughter house cannot be compared to a European one.
We have been conditioned to have a double standard about what animals matter and which ones dont. A pig is vastly more intelligent than a dog. If cats and dogs were treated the way that other land animals are treated when they are murdered in slaughter houses America would be up in arms. Cows chicken and pigs (to name a few) can all feel pain and pleasure the same way that any other creature with a nervous system can. If you truly dont care and do not have compassion for animals in general that is different. Maybe you are okay with paying someone to murder your animals for you. Regardless, if you cant slit the throat of a cow and butcher it because the sight and feeling is too much for you to bear then maybe you should reconsider your decision in partaking in the meat dairy and egg industries.
How does the detailing of a slaughter house, a center developed only for the sole purpose of butchering and murdering animals make anything different? If you dont think its "that bad" then watch some videos on youtube. I wont link any on here because thats not my point but there is no such thing as "humane" slaughter. It is taking a life that is not yours to take. End of story.
Alright lets debate about the word choice and not the issue. Killing, slaughtering whatever synonym you would like to use is irrelevant. If you want to make an argument in favor of a sinister practice you wont win. It is fundamentally wrong to take a life that is not yours to take. You do not own a sentient being, it has the right to live its life without some shitty human cutting it into pieces because it "tastes good".
the "detailing" makes a very large difference, you hippy fuck. whether an animal is killed through multiple painful strikes from a blunt weapon or through painless, instant electrocution, does make a difference.
Fair enough. You know what does sum on an entire industry of meat, eggs and dairy? Killing. The unjust killing of billions of sentient beings annually. Tell me its okay to take a life, because it is not. Animals feel just as you and I do. We are not above animals. We are worse than them, cant you see that? Hypothetically speaking, if animals were to have a religion the image of the devil would be a human. Just think about the conditions and the killings that humans put animals through. You do not need animal protein to survive. Animal proteins are the number one cause of disease in the world.
It does make a difference because the end result is the same. If I rape a woman is that okay? Of course not. If I roofie a woman and rape her and she doesnt remeber it is it okay? Of course not. Why is sedating or instantly killing a creature humane? Humane and killing are fundamentally different words and cannot exist in the same space.
So in your mind animals shouldn't eat other animals either. Even all the carnivorous ones, or the omnivorous ones. Which we are. Omnivorous. We are part of the food chain and we have just evolved and developed it for the progression of our species.
In your perfect world no one would eat or use any other animal based item.
Are you justifying the killing of billions of creatures with "I like the taste of meat" because that is the only premise to consume animals. You dont need to take a life to live as a human. You can choose to be different friend, you can choose to live a life that is of the most minimal impact on the earth and the creatures that inhabit it.
But we don't just kill animals for sustenance. Animal products effect every single industry from medical care to fire extinguishing.
If we never used animal products we would be century's behind where we are as a species
Why do you try and justify a human's behavior with that of an animal in the wilderness? You dont justify eating your newborn child because a lion does it. You dont sleep outside naked because a lion does it. In nature there is an ecosystem, a very diverse back and fourth.
And let me debunk this whole "we are omnivorous" bullshit that you are holding on to from your elementary school science classes. Here is an example of an Omnivore, a bear. Trademark signs of an omnivore, denoted by claws, we do not have claws. Our canines are not actually sharp, if we had the canines of an omnivore or carnivore would we be using knives and forks. Our teeth grind from side to side.
We do not have omnivorous or carnivorous instincts. You could not kill and consume an animal without first preparing it and cooking it, that is not natural. We are the only creature that does this because guess why, we are not omnivores. We have 30ft of intestines where carnivores have 15-20ft
They need a shorter tract to get the decomposing flesh in and out as to not clog arteries. Why do you think we have so many issues with clogged arteries? Omnivores and carnivores do not suffer of clogged heart arteries from their diets of meat because they are designed to consume meat and we are not.
You know, after every human is a vegan sure, I will try to debate with lions over a pakistani fingerpainting forum.
"Humans are classic examples of omnivores in all relevant anatomical traits. There is no basis in anatomy or physiology for the assumption that humans are pre-adapted to the vegetarian diet. For that reason, the best arguments in support of a meat-free diet remain ecological, ethical, and health concerns."
Our health problems as a race mainly stem from the high sugar diet and the over consumption of meat. We're not supposed to have meat 3 times a day 7 days a week.
My point is that it is not necessary. We dont have to test our medicines on animals. We dont have to use animal byproducts. There are many other alternatives and if these alternatives do not exist we should work towards find one. Not to mention how these industries effect the very livelihood of other humans. More than half of the grains that are produced in africa go to feeding livestock instead of sustaining the people on that continent. Meat eggs and cheese are the largest contributing factor to world hunger.
Protein from animals is high in sulfur it makes your body acidic, its not meant
to be acidic its meant to be alcaline. So the more cows milk and animal protein you consume the weaker your bones become. The body has to balance the acidity entering the bloodstream by utilizing the calcium in your bones. If you look at countries in africa they dont suffer from osteoporosis and heart disease on this massive scale like the US does.
Its not testing that's the only part of medical use of animal products.
We use pig tracheas in replace of human ones.
We can use pigs kidneys as dyallisis to filter someone's blood.
The aircraft industry uses a foam based fire repellent manufactured from bulls blood
Granted we are now moving onto synthetic versions of the above, but if we didn't use the animal products as a stepping stone who knows how long it would've taken to achieve the synthetic versions
Okay. Sure. Do the very few uses of animal byproducts justify the greed and desire for flesh that runs so deeply in our culture? I do not believe so. At the end of the day there will be small exceptions as with most things but why contribute directly to the suffering and killing of innocent creatures by stuffing your mug with a cheeseburger? We shouldn't. We should progress and move as a species to accept that animals have a right to live out their lives without us killing them. You know it took 400 years to convince white men in america that blacks shouldn't be enslaved? So of course it will take a long time to get animals the rights they deserve but the least we can do is not contribute to the killing of helpless creatures.
My drkshdw jeans are very baggy in the knees, is there a remedy to this, or is that just the way it is?
I didn't say that meat is the only source of heart disease. If you only eat fruit loops and fruit rollups you're a vegan but is that conducive to a healthy life style? Of course not. As with any health conscious endeavor we should do the research to lead the most healthy lives that we can while doing the least harm to other creatures and the planet. You will also find it is much more difficult to be an obese vegan than it is to be an obese dairy meet and egg eater.
>decides to not support the animal industry
>doesnt do shit
Changing my wardrobe and my diet certainly qualify as "doing shit" as well as helping to educate anons in a Rick Owens thread of all fucking places. I forgot about the great amount of hospitalized vegans on the verge of death from vitamin b12 deficiency. Very similar to the thousands of people getting diet invoked strokes every month. At the very worst I dont mind taking a vitamin b12 supplement instead of undergoing chemotherapy from cancers caused by meat dairy and cheese consumption.
Whatever your beliefs plzzzzzz take your 'debate' off the /rog/ nobody wants to see it
>also quit shilling your grailed on here just post the sock ramones
just the way it is. they may be a bit too long for you, but usually that happens with wear as that part of the jean stretches out. nothing you can really do unfortunately, though its highly likely that you are the only person that will ever notice it.
lou reed is really killing those uggs btw, i almost want a pair after seeing that
If you read the posts I am simply defending my personal beliefs when people question them and attack me personally. I am simply educating people. If you want to debate the real issues feel free. But condescending comments like this are not making a relevant statement.
I have rick pieces up on my grailed. People in BST have literal zero interest in artisianal brands so /rog/ is my best bet. I had no intention of trying to debate with people but when someone makes ignorant comments I am going to educate them. So far no one has made a relevant statement to justify meat egg and cheese consumption. Its just flat out animal abuse.
Source? What about vegan ramones have leather? I heard that the zippered area has a leather piece, if they truly arent vegan please elaborate.
>links ones video that makes a few relevant points
I have heavily researched the dairy meat and egg industries and if you did the same you would come to the same sensibile conclusion that I have. Animal killing is one of the most negatively impactful actions that humans partake in period. As long as you remain a supporter of the meat egg and dairy industries do not say that you love animals. Do not say that you are a kind human being. You are a hypocrite in this case because you are paying someone else to do something you can not, which is butcher innocent creatures for your own personal pleasure. If you would open your mind and look into these issues instead of sticking your head in the sand these facts would be all but too aparent.
Ay, thanks for settling my worries.
>lou reed is really killing those uggs btw, i almost want a pair after seeing that
Yeah he really does. I'm actually a big fan of the Rick uggs, which I think look very good coupled with said jeans. They also have a sort of tidy ramones boot look with pods, so they have done a pretty good job of satisfying my chunky shoe needs.
Mentioning why you're selling your stuff wasn't necessary, especially because of all the bad rap that vegans get for being preachy. That said, you really don't deserve the backlash that you got.
Vegan ramones (sadly, in your case) aren't truly vegan. Like regular ramones, drkshdw and mainline, the vegan ramones have a leather strip that runs along the inside length of the zipper.
It's not subpar... I disagree with what he said. I own two gimp hoodies, one from an older season (with the sideways strap), and one from FW15. They are both the quality I would expect from Rick. I can't recommend them enough.
My skirted pods are my favorite pants. They're amazing
Interesting. What's the point of the double layer then? Isn't the idea that the two layers in combination with the asymmetrical seam provides the interesting rumpled drapes?
How does yours look on body?
I think his point was that in the absence of some sort of 'artisanal clothing general' thread, Rick general is likely to have the largest percentage of people interested in other more artisanal labels.
having a asymmetrical seam would def make the drapes crazier but just the double layer alone makes some nice drapes
I would recommend it because it's so versatile, but still features the interesting details that makes Rick what it is: the zipped hood, the slim, soft sleeves, even the hoodie itself is cut to a length that you don't need anything super long to wear it with. You can wear it on top or underneath anything, all year round.
The other hoodies Rick offers are just alright: Mountain only has the giant hood, and the rest are pretty plain.
If you're thinking of copping a gimp, especially if you can find one with the og strap, go for it!
Since it's wool, it doesn't have the same fibre properties as cotton for example, thus bacteria (sweat) and dirt doesn't attach itself as easily (insert scientific explanation here). There is no other trick to keeping it clean, just wash it when it gets dirty. I usually handwash mohair and other wool with a wool detergent at body temperature or a little lower. Don't expose it to hot or boiling water, as it will turn to felt.
Source: I own a Rick mohair sweater with another one coming in the mail. Also, a virgin wool one.
What do you think about RO clothes wearing people more they wear the clothes and how do you think people avoid this problem? :Pic related
No stores around me stock anything good so can't try on shoes, but currently have a pair of geobaskets size 42 and drkshdw ramones size 42, ramones fit me relatively well but the geobaskets are too roomy. I wanted to buy mainline ramones but does anyone know if they fit more like geobaskets or drkshdw ramones
Go 1/2 or 1 size down from your TTS
Either TTS or down 1/2 depending on the shape of your foot....Reading its really that easy
I normally wear a 46 in other more normally fitting brands like ccp and ordered a 48, it fits me similarly to the model, tight around the arms and normally in the body. It's pretty comfy but slightly itchy, keep in mind it has 30% silk, so it's smoother than a 100% mohair sweater. It's a little thick to wear without an undershirt imo.
yeah thanks that's rly helpful..
i'm really asking about the difference between drkshdw and mainline ramones, in pictures the mainline ones look a lot more bulbous so the sizing could be different. Inferring that I asked not because I couldn't read is really easy
Thanks for the info, some friends on SZ cleared it up for me.
This kind of hostility is what is fueling the suffering of innocent creatues. Just let go of your hatred friend. Contributing to the betterment of the world is key.
If no one cared about it then why am I having a discussion about it with multiple anons? I dont mind explaining my views. Please realize I am not preaching or talking down to people but I am justifying my views on animal cruelty.
they fit the same. it's a fair question for newbies dw. good observation though but i think they are the same shape, just different materials.
thanks, i'll size up one then!
does it really matter? as long as you're comfortable in the clothes you wear, who cares about x group of people thinks? isn't that what fashion forums everywhere preach? im not saying that i like the outfits in your pic, just saying..
