Man, the moto razrs were excellent for their time. The small form factor and relatively sturdy construction made them basically the apex of dumb phone design.

The camera is ill-placed, the button placement changes are a pitiful attempt at mimicking Android, the original construction was so bad (w/r/t the choice of metal and the whole bendgate shit) it should have resulted in the simultaneous suicide of all of the engineers, etc.

current phone, came from a htc one mini
it is a good phone but is very business oriented.

+ is that it runs all android apps and the battery only needs a recharge every 2-3 days.

- is that you cant really use it with one hand you need to use two hands for typing you get used to using only one hand from smaller phones

Second this, I'd get it but I have manlet hands and I'm just running my Nexus 5 until it falls apart on me since there's a shit ton of custom rom and kernel support.

Have the 6s, it's nice but basically no difference to 6 expect better front camera and it's faster but I don't notice that other than in the fingerprint scanner. I needed a new phone asap, and that's what the shop had, so I got it. Although I would not recommend spending the extra buck for 6s because honestly unless you take million selfies a day, there's no point. That force touch is bullshit, but I mean it's an iPhone = good camera and the apps fucking work way better than android.

Phones by HTC and Apple are definitely the most overrated.

Samsung all have those shitty home button on the chin, otherwise the newer ones wouldn't look that bad.

But I have to admit, I tend to prefer a more minimalistic design when it comes to phones. Think Nexus 5, Xiaomi Mi3 or the Lumia phones.

Would you really want a phone without buttons or a "chin," though? I've heard a lot of phones with slimmer bezels can get kinda difficult to use because your palm can inadvertently screw with the touchscreen.

I drop my Galaxy Note 4 all the time and the screen doesn't crack, but it seems like the vast majority of iPhones crack.

I've had all iPhones and bought a S6 last summer, after 3 months the S6 broke it's screen while no one was touching it.
Accidents happen, all glass screens are basically the same.

For comparison a S6 screen costs 279€ while an iPhone 6 costs 60€.

I own and I'm currently using a Sony Xperia Z3, switched from an IPhone 5s to this and it's honestly the best phone I've had. Anyone who likes the design will be happy owning one, especially with how good it runs. Only flaw I've had so far is that the flap where the charger port is under fell off so the charger is exposed and ruins the look of it a little bit. Besides that, 10/10

I would rather spend the money on a decent camera. Most phone cameras have tiny sensors and lenses and deliver inferior quality in terms of noise performance and dynamic range.
Only the expensive ones are good i think.
The question is if you are willing to walk around with a camera all day and how much you are into it.

SOMEHOW I still laugh at people for having random ass android phones, yet I've never had an iPhone because I prefer the Galaxy's and I don't give a fuck about what people think of me. Dropped my 5s so often, has some minor scratches on the aluminium now, but the screen is totally fine. Battery life is the same as it was two years ago.

Just switched to a 6s and the battery life seems even better. No longer bring my charger.

Got a feeling that people who cracked their iphone screen would've also had a cracked screen if they have a samsung or LG.

You're absolutely right there. I'm still using my old Motorolla V3 from 2004... it works just fine but texting is horrific with a phone like that. I'm actually embarrassed to use it because people point and stare when I do. It's worse when I see an 8 y/o kid using an iPhone 6 in front of me.

I've been using Apple since the 80s. I was gifted the first iPod Touch (before the iphone came out) and carry a more recent one, plus my V3 plus a camera on my hip. I hope to compress them all into one by obtaining an iPhoen 6s although I worry a little that the iPhones will be shrinking in the future. Do you know how hard it is to find clothes that fit an iPhone these days? Why don't clothing makers take into account that almost everyone carries a Smart Phone today?

Well, when I bought it I had to pay $1475 for the damned thing at the time. The V3 was an amazing phone in it's day and it's important to remember that back in 2004, most people didn't own a cell phone but it was getting close to 50%. Nowadays the figure is around 99%. Since the iPod Touch was released, every goddamned phone manufacturer was out to replicate it. I was seriously considering a Samsung S6 the other day but all the models I saw on display had HORRIBLE screen burn on the OLED (?) screen. I didn't realize this was an issue with modern phones so I shopped around looked online at the forums... turns out the Samsungs all suffer from this. I'm disappointed. I'm also annoyed that Samsung are so keep to pinch Apple's merchandise/market-base that they also keep their prices bumped up to match all the existing Apple models.

So yeah, I had to buy a new phone. It's more than overdue in my case. Looks like it'll be an Apple iPhone 6S because of the quality camera.

But Apple can shove that iWatch right up their asses.

Are there any good basic phones available in the us? All of the nice Nokias ive found are only available internationally.

I just want a basic phone with good battery life and texting that is chat log style. If it had navigation it would be perfect.
