like that one anon said, dark brown doesn't go that well with dark denim, it just becomes one dark blob. I wouldn't wear those shoes except with a suit personally, but they would probably work fine with more tan pants or a lighter blue.

I think part of what people forget is that your age matters when it comes to style. You can't really wear brogues well if you're only a kid, it just looks odd. people associate them with maturity, not everyone can pull that off at ~16-20. If you're a successful mid-late 20s professional you can go crazy once in a while and let your inner dandy out (within reason), but you gotta earn that, you can't just turn up one day in a blazer with a pocket square and be cool (unless you are handsome desu).

Brogues are the shit, and those aren't a particularly awful model in any sense. I'd definitely wear something like that - not sure if it'd work with denim (I'd have to try it on in person), but still.

Some people have weird violent hatred of brogues. Those people are either English or stupid, usually both. Disliking a normal dress shoe because it has broguing is like getting bent out of shape over patch pockets (which people also do) - much ado about nothing.
