Californiafag here. I bough a Navy surplus peacoat back in college, just to be the end-all be-all fuck-you to those handful of actually cold winter nights, and it's held up great.

I've always worn slightly more mature clothing for my age, but now at 25 the worn-in peacoat feels consistent and appropriate. I just took it on a business trip to Indiana and nobody called me pretentious, so that's a win I guess.
