Anyone has any tips on making clean looking dreads? 95% of dreads style are fucking disgusting or ppl just don't take good care of them idk, but I've seen some clean looking ones and I'm interested in achieving that

Black guy here. Does anyone know of any good conditioners, detanglers, and sheens that are actually anti-shrinkage? Like, everything I've tried doesn't work too well. No matter what I do, my hair is prone to shrinkage. Maybe it's just me.

Yes, I've tried those before, but the type of shea I've tried didn't seem to help much. I use oils almost every day. Miss Africa's Best has always been my go-to.

moisturizer that doesn't shrink doesn't make sense desu it's literally putting water-based shit in your hair.

I recommend moisturizing and using a stretch method to keep it from shrinking like twists, braids, etc until your hair dries.

My scalp got damaged from a really bad allergic reaction to shampoo and now my hair grows like shit.

But I was a broke college student doing finals and didn't bother try to actually do some sort of litigation lol.

Yeah, my hair is like yours a little bit. I've got loose curls and I hate not being able to wake up and just comb it into an afro.

I used to just wash it and put some gel in so it would look curly.
Then as it got longer, I slicked it back with gel and left the back curly
Then bought a headband and had the fringe pulled back and had it curly round the sides and back
Eventually I started to just wash it and put it in a bobble cause it was long enough.

Currently I'm growing it out and I've found someone who can braid it into cainrows for me.

I've heard styles like the ones in the picture referred to as twists as well as dreads multiple times so I have no idea which one to go with lel.

I'll probably end up showing a picture. Now I have to actually go about finding a place that does this kinda shit. I live in a small to mid sized city in the UK so it's kinda hard to find.
