If it's something you're really committed to then I can't stop you and of course I want you to be happy no matter what. I have geos and they're so durable it's hard to not wear them every chance you get. I've worn them to school before, and they're entry-tier enough to turn some heads without looking ridiculous. If you live somewhere hot check out pods and if you're not (i envy you) have a look at pods (or memphis pants if you're looking for something more out there). Rick outerwear is obviously iconic but quite pricey, so keep that in mind.

Just walk into the store and if you're not helped out just find staff and ask them for sizes or help with sizing. If you live near an actual rick store, they love to dress people up so go there!

Great to hear about the durability of Geos, I am hoping that although I'm quite active that they retain a long shelf life for the money I'm putting into them.
Another question I have to ask, has anyone ever said they look like clown shoes? I am not Asian, I'm southern American. I am not really worried about money, because my parents do spoil me, fortunately of course, but I do want to get my money's worth so I will consider multiple options. I recall going to a sneaker store to try on ramones with some friends who aren't really into fashion and they said they were like clown shoes, but everyone was complimenting my geos when I wore them. I think the clown shoes comment will really only come out if you're really lanky or have disproportionately large feet.


Overall I think they're lowkey enough for people who don't know to like them, but iconic enough for fashion fans to recognise and appreciate.

On the topic of durability, people have rick dunks from like 2010 which they rock so they're definitely durable (you'll just need to see a cobbler about the sole at some point).

I'll post some accessible rick fits for you, too. This one's a favourite of mine despite the fucking awful pose.

You can dye leather black using dissolved steel wool! It's a pretty nice effect actually, and leaves the leather a lot softer than chemical dyes. I was on the verge of buying that jacket and doing it but it's a scary thought.

The thing is that these shorts will look off, it is intended. The main difference for these shorts is the waist, but that is not much since you can even wear a small and fit into them as a size 50 since they are drawstring waist. Anyways it is a good price at 200, but for 300 I would look for a wool or silk/cotton blend.

It's not the clash with the turtle it's the clash with the shoes. Navy + Black is real difficult to make look good. Usually needs to be done with a layer of a neutral color in between, if you insist on doing it.
