This really depends on how much you want to spend.

Saint Laurent / Julius have a very simple combat boot, although they do sit a little high.

Common Projects has a great combat boot for ~$400. Same great quality that you would expect with their sneakers.

Honestly, it really depends on the person and how they wear their docs. The only people in my opinion which can pull them off are skinny people with thin legs and ankles. And they can look real good when styled nicely. It sounds harsh, but people who have thicker legs and ankles make these boots look like absolute shit. It makes your legs look like tree stumps with cankles

If you want combat boots in particular, then why wouldn't you go to straight to military surplus or the like, rather than fashion brands?
