problem with levis is they have a tendency to use that godawful stretch denim crap and low rises. best to avoid anything else.

The older I get, 511's seem like an ideal cut. You just have to try on a bunch of the same wash to find the right fit.

i'm looking at 511's on the online store right now. for both of the extreme ends of waist sizes (very small and very big), most of the washes are unavailable. do they not ever come in these sizes, or are they just out of stock? just curious.

Which levi's are suitable for stacking? some kind of rigid 510? Most jeans skinny enough to not drape over the top of the shoe/boot are usually the stretch kind that don't fold/crease very well.

OP here- so if I'm looking for black skinny jeans tapered 511s is the way to go? All reviews of 510s say that they're shit - I'm pretty skinny so the only issue would be if the rise is super fucked up.

I have the athletic fit ones, whichever number those are. Pretty nice. The super dark black looked gay as hell though so I went with the darker navy, unless thats people refer to when they say get dark jeans.

I've owned both, other than a khaki pair of 510s I have all the other pairs fit way too tight. Like Kramer when he wore skinny jeans. Just stick to 511s.
