If you were a girl who could grow out their hair I'd have advice, mens fashion really is limited. Anyway I wouldn't shave the sides as you need some volume in the sides to even out your tapered head... but then your chin is small and you don't want to look like a triangle. I dunno bro, but I'd stay away from what you have going on now, you look too narrow around the temples. Something fluffier and more face framing.

How do I style this? I don't want to cut it because I'm growing it out, but it's an awkward stage where I can't part it without looking like Christopher Columbus and I can't wear it back without looking like Bill Maher.

I do no poo, my bangs are down to the tip of my nose, and the back goes to about my T1, for reference.

Braid slightly damp hair at night with a little mousse then sleep on it, my waves last for days but my hair's naturally curly/ wavy when it's shorter. Only take it out when it's completely dry so you don't want your hair very wet when you plait it. You can hair spray it when you take it out. For that wilder/ messier look you can brush it out and muss it out a bit.
Of a perm but screw that. You can also try straw curls or something but I don't know how a male would feel about that.

It's at an awkward length, you can try to stay with It and grow it out of go for a trim around the ears/ keep it shorter on the sides. Top looks nice but the length making it flip over the ears looks bad. You can have it shorter on the sides without going full hy.

I don't enjoy getting my hair cut and as such I always wait too long to get it cut again and end up with it being long and shitty >picrelated

Does anyone here cut their own hair? I have scissors, a comb, an adjustable trimmer, and guards that I use for my beard. I might have to buy a handheld mirror and hair cutting shears. Last time I got it cut I said to do whatever and the result was a #2 on sides and a short Princeton on top which I liked.

Current plan:

>clean up around ears with no guard
>trim bangs with the comb/finger/scissors thing barbers do
>if bad results buzz everything with #2

My main fears being the merge between the #2 and #3 being crooked and that I have no idea how long the top was or if there was anything different done there so I have no idea if hitting it with a #3 will look good or not. I've noticed a lot of barbers have done the top of my hair with just scissors though I've felt like the ones that used the clippers on the top too have produced just as good results in half the time.

How do you know if a bald look is going to look ok on you?

I mean, in my case it's almost guaranteed to be better because I'm balding quite quickly (24 years old), but I consider my face to ugly and being would make it worse, I'm also really skinny so I'd look like I'm sick or something.

Is there like any decent rule for knowing if you'll be ok looking when bald.

My balding has depressed me for like 3 years now, I feel just shaving it could be cathartic but if I end up looking worse I'm not sure what I'd do with myself.

I just got this cut, I don't really like it at all honestly but I wanted something different and this is what I got.

Initially the hair was brushed the other direction, but it looked like I had a misplaced, ill-fitting toupee, but upon brushing it the other way, I can maintain some dignity.

i could use some advice from anyone who knows the first thing about hair

this is me right now. i'm not particularly high maintenance, i'm fine with how it looks and it suits me reasonably well. the problem is this is me after waking up before taking a shower. after i wash it it looks like shit, it looks thin and shitty and unhealthy, it won't take on any style and any product i've tried using either makes it look like trash or wears off within the hour. i've tried changing my haircare pattern, like using less shampoo or letting it dry naturally with no success. the next day it always looks significantly better, it looks thicker and healthier and doesn't just fall flat and straight.

i'd be happy if i could just make it look like it does right now at will, but nothing i've tried works

Sup /fa/? Definitely not /fa/ here. So I've had long hair for the better part of 15 years and never really did anything with it other than comb it back every day.

Well, now I have a receding hairline and it's starting to get pretty thin on top (pic related). I think it might be time for a cut. My problem is that I have no idea what to do with it other than some comb over that would look like it belongs on a 50 year-old.

In the meantime, you've gotta trim your chin because it'll get bigger than the rest of the beard and give you more of a lame goatee look instead of the full beard aesthetic. Most people recommend jojoba oil.

Shave it off and give it more time. Blond hair is pretty thin to begin with and if that's nearly 3 months of growth you just can't grow a full beard yet.

The stuff on your chin is coming in somewhat thick, so maybe something with that would be fine, but get rid of all that stuff on your neck and cheeks till it's coming in thicker.

I buzzed my head on the 1st of October to a 2 on sides/back and 4 on top, which at this point isn't obvious at all since my hair is so blonde, but I wanted to know how long the top of your head should be until you can get a noticeable undercut with a obvious separation in the two lengths.

I'm trying to get it by Halloween, so one month of growth. I would be trimming the sides/back back down to a 2 or maybe a 1.

i condition it a lot because my hair just wants to be dry all the time, its very fine and straight. I use a light pomade right after i shower to give it some wave and in the pic i just tied it up into a little knot for some reason. i don't wear it like that ever

I've been taking biotin for about a month now because I want to grow out my hair like pic related. But I've noticed that it's made my nails grow slower, which makes me feel like my hair is slowing down as well.
