Bought the game on console (and some DLC--a $2 costume once every few weeks isn't really a deal breaker, and it's not like you actually need it to play). It's easily the most fun in a current-gen 2 vs 2 fighter for my neighbors.

I wouldn't buy it again on PC though, plus the games also felt more fun and exciting back when Itagaki was at the helm, but that's just my own opinion.

It's fun (and very fappable) modding for the time being. It's not like I wouldn't be doing the exact same thing if Soulcalibur VI was on PC.

Most costumes are listed as "details" under some other costume (usually but not always the default), just search around in character select. When you've selected an outfit, press ctrl+0 to save it, and then 0 to load it. Then press f9+(some key from this chart) to choose a scene. Then go to extras -> movies -> private paradise, and select the character/costume.

It sounds twenty times worse than it actually is, you'll get used to it.

Besides the above, if you're running into trouble selecting costumes in Versus/the normal character selection screens (which is where you're able to select different hairstyles, etc., with a preview): assuming you have everything installed properly--hitting '2' (tanned option) should make all the preview buttons swap over to swimsuits. You may, however, have to switch to a different character and back. Hitting '1' (no tan) should bring back the default outfits)--this is useful for figuring out what swimsuit option corresponds to which DLC costume slot.

Hopefully that helps you out a little bit. As the above said, you choose them in 'Versus', save it with (CTRL+No.), then hit (No.) by itself to recall it in theater mode (and hope it works--Autolink still gets confused a lot).

Other way around--you really, really ought to delete the previous version of the game before you install the new one. Installing the new one on top of the old one can potentially cause some weirdness with Autolink. That basically means deleting the Autolink folder AND files (called Autolink followed by a number) in the root folder--that should avoid problems.

I think Holden is going somewhat beyond the models in DOAX3 as a matter of personal taste. Not that I'm complaining, I can understand the "logic" behind it--if you look at the Ayane's 'upgrades', you can see how someone like Rachel would end up being huge.

Funny enough, DOAXBV and DOAXBV2 both gave most of the characters more modest busts than their appearances in DOA2 through 4. Extremely apparent when DOA2U gave certain characters their swimsuits from DOAXBV.

i like the current proportions of BP, i wish the complainers would learn how to use the available tools. changing the bust size is relatively trivial.

I tried to strike a balance between DOA5, DOAX3, the numbers, and the actual sizes in the game.

That sounds confusing, mostly because it is. There's almost no consistency in proportions even in DOA5 itself. Costume to costume the proportions are not consistent. For example with the "Breeze" costume (I gave it that name in game since the official costume doesn't have a name), Christie's hips are much bigger than on her other costumes. Likewise with Tina's "Skyward" costume. Try not to look at proportions listed by Team Ninja as gospel because they hardly follow them themselves.

Helena has larger breasts than Ayane in DOA5, but smaller breasts in DOAX3. It just didn't feel right to me that her breasts were noticeably smaller than Ayane's, and so I made the choice of keeping Ayane's larger perky bust while giving Helena a slightly larger and less perky bust (Helena is 23 and Ayane is 18).

Rachel's chest was also changed to be bigger to compensate for Ayane's larger size, and I took my own liberties to determine what that would look like since she's not in DOAX3. I think I've reached a solid balance now. Some breast size differences were exaggerated but I felt that was important because I think they're too samey/copypasted in regular DOA5 (example: Leifang being significantly smaller than Momiji and things like that).

I also see people mentioning the sag and well, I decided to lean more towards realism (not full on but closer) moving from BP 2 to 3+. I felt they just look a little too plastic and fake when they don't droop enough (mostly based on their size). The only exception I really made for that is Ayane because she kind of looks like an anime character already. When the breasts look fake it looks much worse in motion.

Sound reasoning. I mentioned my own preference back on the Loverslab Forums as well, it's purely aesthetic--and yes, being that massive they could look odd without enough sagging. I should've mentioned in the above pic of Rachel that I also like the comparative size as well as sag--both reduced. Then again, I'm a long-time fan of the franchise who just started playing around with mods for the laugh of it, so I'm used to seeing them in a more modest light (usually though not always much so).

Overall, I think most people are very happy with the direction you're going, so I wouldn't fault you int the least. That's why I've kept an installation of your BP 0.99 (also the bikini recolors, which are awesome).

Moisture textures do look better in the more recent versions, so it's all a trade-off. Don't take this as a complaint so much as complimentary feedback. I do hope you'll take a crack at fixing the Speed bikini issue, but you've got a lot else to do I'm sure.

Well, I really like Nyotengu. She has a very beautiful face and I love her voice and personality. It's sensual but not overtly crude. I also think her being really tall fits in very well. She just seems like a well rounded package and someone who delivers something very unique to the DOA cast.

Honoka is kind of a cheap pedestrian pick but I guess I'm not that sophisticated of a guy. She's young, she's got a baby face, and exaggerated sexual characteristics with the largest breasts and widest hips, but I find myself enjoying all of those things like fast food. Her cartoonishly sexualized body works on me at a primal level, and they didn't go too overboard to make her look like a retarded Skyrim HGCGBBQLBT whatever abomination.

I like Marie a lot because she offers a unique body type that otherwise wouldn't be represented, and her baby face suits her body type even though it's cheapened by it being copy pasted onto Honoka. They probably could have avoided some of the controversy from the blatant copypaste by saying Honoka is her sister but well, that ship has sailed, and there are already existing copypaste faces like Ayane/Kasumi.

Momiji I feel is one of the most well rounded women in the game. She doesn't have ridiculous proportions, but a very nice shape, and a detailed face that looks distinct and realistic to me, but also beautiful. A funfact is that her face texture is the most detailed in the game (higher texture resolution). She has lots of details that show me the person who designed her really care about what they're doing, like the larger ridge on her top center lip (hard to describe), and the very slight freckles, and more pronounced facial complexion that makes her face look less plastic than some of the other girls. Her voice is also very soft and womanly. She just seems like the kind of woman who would be a dream wife.

for the people having reading comprehension problems:
holding F9 has fuck all to do with costumes.
holding F9 then pressing any of the tan, pink blue, green and purple keys in holdens png image will change the movie.

pressing 0-6 WITHOUT F9 OR CTRL(on the main keyboard, not the numpad) will change the default costume set

0= default (games built in+dlc costumes)
1=beach paradise bikinis replace most of the games default costumes
2=as above, but topless
3=as 1 but tanned
4=as 2 but tanned

at the same time, keys 1-6 affect the fully nude models the following way:
1= untanned
2=one piece style tanlines
3=bikini tanline 1
4=bikini tanline 2
5=bikini tanline 3
6=full nude tanned

if you want to change any other costume detail, you have to go to character select then choose the girl and change the detail, then hold ctrl + any number to save those details.
after restarting the game, you just need to hit that number again (without ctrl) to load those details.

for pirating: download the game from steam and add the dlc files from sfxt mods, as well as the 3dm launcher, ini and dll
DO NOT USE CRACKED EXE FILES USE THE REAL EXE FILE FROM STEAM

if you download a torrent with all dlc included, make sure you update with the legit steam exe(fucking google it or look on sfxt mods again, it should be there)
exception to this rule is if you download the latest 3dm torrent which already has the correct exe.

How can I change lighting in the movies? I want to have shower scenes at the beach because I think gym stage is too dark and walls are messing with the camera. I change stage in the file, it kinda works but the lighting is fucked up.

One thing I would love is if there was an animation made where the girls actually take their clothes off in a strip dance.

But I guess that's too advanced at least for right now.

There aren't really many elements of that in the game either--only a few later DLC packs (like the Senran Kagura one--there's probably another one I don't know) have destructible or changing clothing effects. And that still wouldn't include actual clothing as objects, just a way to remove them.

Honestly, Soulcalibur IV and V came a lot closer--for starters, they didn't just have clothing in layer (outer armor, underwear, etc.), but they actually had practically everything be destructible/damage states. But neither of those came out on PC, so modding didn't get much farther besides a few custom models, body swapping (pretty much everyone got Ivy's body), and the obvious nude mods.

Followed all steps but all I get is spinning wheel at DOA5 title screen near bottom right and It won't load in to any menus...

Can someone explain me how to force Gedosato to render at the renderResolution value in the GeDoSato.ini file and subsquently downsample to my monitor resolution (1680x1050)?

No matter what I try, it only takes into account the resolution specified in the DOA5LR Launcher.

Still the same Autismo. Seems to be an issue with the hotkeys. I'm not sure how to select the bordered keys, as it seems numbers 1-4 are for commands on the left, but also numbers 1-6 are for the ones on the right. How can I specify which setting I want to apply?

I should be more specific. This has all been in the private paradise videos, where my selections aren't as detailed. Picking costumes works fine in the fight selection. Also, I can select hairstyles for tanned or flush, unlike private paradise, which offers A-D only.

autolink allows you to save costume and hair details by pressing ctrl+ any number from 0-9.
then choose that costume in private paradise and the same details will show up.
whenever you start the game, you can load those details again by pressing that same number without ctrl.

beach paradise has by default autolink configs labeled 0-6, so save your changes to 7-9 or the game will take ages to load or start randomly crashing

So go into fight, pick the settings I want for a fight, and then at that selection, (Or in the fight?) Press CRTL +7, for example. then I can go into beach paradise, and load it up by pressing just 7, when selecting the costume modified so? Awesome.

So I followed the pastebin, and finally installed the game, DLC and doahdm. But there's one thing. Is this supposed to unlock characters and/or story mode?

When I access the extras only the Paradise movies are available. And when I choose characters only core fighters, naotoara and Mai are available.

I used a save file to unlock more movies but not all. On the sfxt page it showed how to unlock the content by adding the dlc and names to the ini, but it's already there.

Is there anyone else experiencing this? Or maybe I'm missing something, although I strongly doubt it.
