The secret more or less is to place the eyes in about the middle of the head, since that's essentially how real-life human anatomy works.

Incidentally in my attempts to make the forehead not so overbearing on a character, moving the eyes up and the head down were part of that. I then did the other step backwards and ended up making the jaw larger and then the entire head smaller.

Also damn that hair is nuts. Heck I even see a mistletoe leaf snuck in there lol.

Code export & import yeah, to get out of bounds values for +120 eye height and -30 chin length.

So the trouble with super negative chin length is that the base head blob starts being exposed around her ears. Stephanie has a bunch of solid-colored hairpins positioned under her ears to mask this, or else she ends up looking like frankenstein's monster.

I really wonder sometimes what the point of the base head blob even is as it seems to serve no purpose other than being a pain in the ass to deal with if you want to size faces out of bounds. It looks like it's just an extraneous piece that could easily be left out since it's usually covered up anyway.

The effect probably could be achieved just as well by taking a color sample of the center of the makeup on the finished character, and then using that color on a single copy of the character.

I tested out using just one character with colors from the finished picture, it ended up looking like this.

This is what I came up with.

Yeah it's doable but I tend to always do characters as two or three layers with transparency as for some I use different iris styles overlayed to get an eye look you can't get otherwise. It's not the case with Angie, but keeping my character methods consistent makes it easier to swap outfts off of one to another as I can just copy the code for all the layers at once and import it over into the other character. It also makes it easy to adjust makeup strength by just changing the transparency instead of messing around with the colors. It's just the typical method I use.

Some of them have a third bottom layer to be able to use more hair parts and to be able to do things like layer another character's arm between the hair behind their head and their body if the other character has their arm on their shoulder.

I'll admit my methods may seem a little weird but they really do allow a lot of freedom to customize things easily down the road, like if you want to add extra hair parts to give a windswept look or something if the character already uses a lot of hair parts. Transparency is a tool that I don't see get used a lot for things other than see-thru clothing, but you can do more with it. It've also done it for so long that I just get how to work with it and don't really think about it.

Here's an example of the three layers I used to make Ida, another one of my girls.

And here's Sana without most of her clothes to better see how I use transparency on eyes, nipples, and pubic hair to do adjustments to the final look.

And one with a nude Katia that better shows using different pubic hair types overlayed to get a different look that you can't do with one layer.

(Also she uses more than 10 hair parts total, so multiple layers are necessary.)

Not really - just move all layers at once. I generally work on separate characters if they are to be in the same image in two kisekae windows and when I get the second one about how I want it I import each layer's code into the other one and make minor adjustments from there. It's really not as bad as it looks.

Nice work! Is her butt built in-engine? Very clean lines.

My 0.02: Left arm is layered below her chest in front view; so it should be on top in rear view. Also clavicles shouldn't appear in rear view. These are easy edits with hairpins or belts though.

I've done a lot of testing with measuring height in kisekae. Using the default k-on characters as a base (since they have known official heights), I determined the most accurate setting for that height chart image to actually be size 84, elevation 597, with your characters positioned at depth 500 and leg position 16.

Dunno where anyone got that the chart should be set to size 65, at that size Yui who's 5'1 is measured 6'4.

Yes, absolutely. "Stinger" is just the name of Midori's punching technique, there isn't an actual poisoned stinger in there, in case you were wondering. A punch to the chin can have an effect on the brain and make a fighter unable to keep fighting and/or lose consciousness.

I moved her ears up a bit and now I realized why they were set where they were - they obsure the edges of the round solid-colored headshape oval behind the head that is visible if you make the face too narrow or raise the chin too much. You can't get rid of it in any way I know of, and I don't really get why it's there in the first place.

Does anyone have a more recent offline version? This one doesn't let you import entire scenes through code like the online one. I would use the online one but the flash plugin is causing BSOD, so I'm forced to mess with it offline.

I did that and it said that one of Norton's drivers was causing the problem. I have a second computer that doesn't have Norton, but it gets stuck on the loading screen. That's why I'm looking for an offline version, but they all lack a lot of the new features.
