And what was that?
>>1968698
>be me
>fucking ranma
>shit gets fucking hot
>turns into a guy
am i homo
Nope, all girl is all girl, just half the time. Half the story is watching a guy put up with all the shit a girl has to.
Here is to you
Another thing to look at is Ranma is coming from a female uthor. She is going to put in a lot of what she saw was pompus and stupis in teen boys. Ranma was her second big work and she had a lot of ideas that did not fit in with
lum. I also like how well she has them learning and communicating relationships for the middle teen.
Ranma himself is a study in learning how the other half lives:)
>>1982867
the actual social problems that ranma 1/2 called out were part of the reasons I like it more than most of the shit we see today
>>1983436
I had different reasons
Ranma was pretty great. Once Takahashi established a good cast of characters with developing personalities and interactions, she really got the ball rolling with the whole "Anything Goes" martial arts vs increasingly ridiculous and specialised ways of combat. Almost without exception, the best episodes were those where Ranma was truly the underdog and had to develop new techniques or strategies to get ahead.
My only complaint with the series is that it introduced a bit too many permanent supporting characters to the cast. Both Ukyo and Mousse ended being irrelevant or the butt end of an easy gag because there was simply no room for their personalities to develop and it was difficult to care for them. In fact, Mousse was pretty alright when he was a returning character here and then, but the moment he joined the permanent cast, he entirely fell to the sidelines.

I watched the first season and honestly I was pretty disappointed, which is why I never watched an further. There was only the one episode where the fact that Ranma changes sex is given any real weight (the one with the ice skaters, too lazy to look up names) and that was only in the first scene as I recall. The series wasn't anything like what I was expecting. Which isn't to say I thought it was bad, it just was very different from how I thought it would be. From the first season it seems like it's just a comedy and the fact that Ranma changes sex is nothing more than a gag.

As I said above, Ranma started as a situation comedy and yes, transformation was just a gag. It was never intended to be truly an exploration of a man's psyche experiencing a woman's body or anything of that kind. (though there's some reflection on double standards and societal expectations.) Later on, the series becomes much more action/shounen with rom-com bits.
No male appendage
Cat costumes
How many anons here would dive willfully in girl source to get the"curse"?
Sure a lot for perverse deeds! Lol
>>1994188
I would... And I would never again touch hot water.
>>1994188
yeah, I would.

Good ol' Icy.
>>1996215
All anons would have ended doing things after the girl's spring. You have to get used to this new body and explore a little before more disturbing sensations.
Maybe also to know what s the best body from the inside!
>>1994188
Is this even a question?
>>1994188
No way. I'd do it on "accident"
What if you threw a Gremlin into the spring of drowned girl?
Need to get a drawfag on finishing this color

It's not gay when he's a girl!
>>2018110
love curvy ranma
>>2018263
I love slightly chubby Ranma since it directly conflicts with Ranma's self-image of being a warrior man amongst men. Stripped of gender and image of strength.

oh. oh yes. This is exacly what I never knew I wanted.
>>1993940
that's clearly the background

Ukyo was a pretty great character IMO. Episodes about her and ranmas relationship were great because she actually had a real relationship with him. The problem was most episodes with her involved her competing with the other girls. Those episodes sucked though because all the girls lost their personalities in them.
IMO there needed to be way more ukyo centric eps

Rubenesque Ranma is the best.
>>2030676
you anit wrong. Here's more.
>>2034586
this, and they all make ranma look like she has not left the couch for at least a year, ranma in either form is highly athletic and proud of being a martial artist who constantly trains so the curviness is unrealistic
>>2034586
>>2034621
so as a rough sketch example - more like this?
>>2034653
better, but there are proportionality issues with that rough sketch that need to be addressed, the legs being the most glaring example
Some of these look like a screen capture that were stretched out of wack
