Having some trouble with converting 3dcg to pmx.
I've downloaded the Tso2pmx 0.3.5 and the Kuro 3dcg model from the past thread. According to the tutorials, i've drag'n'dropped the model png to the blue rectangle in the Tso2pmx window and the progress bar appeared. And then - nothing. No progress at all.
Any solutions for this?

Video encoding itself is a much more complicated thing than people realize at first glance. Each and every video needs different settings to squeeze out the most quality/size ratio. But due to the fact that this is incredibly time consuming (days to weeks of testing results), most of us will just stick to a preset and call it good after the first run.

I obtained some of my models from just following threads like this where model links are sometimes posted. Trollvids is a good source too, both from it's model repository (link is in the original post of this thread) as well as from contributing members (like bobbeebs, J&J, etc) who share links to their models on their user pages.

If you're trying to track down a specific model, I might be able to help, but if you're just looking for more models, you're probably better off just scouring those resources and finding ones you like.

I use the utvideo plug-in (http://www.videohelp.com/software/Ut-Video-Codec-Suite) which provides additional output options when using the "render to AVI file" function in MikuMikuDance.

I find using the Utvideo YUV 422 BT.709 DMO compression method with advanced settings of "Same as # of logical processors" and "Optimize for compression ratio (Predict median)" seems to produce fairly good quality videos with moderate compression (~10 gigs for 3 to 4 minutes) compared to raw avi.

From there I do post-processing work using video edit software like NCH videopad to compress it into the final format like MP4, etc.

The girl is made from generic NJXA clothes/body/hair. The reason why the file size is so small is because the proportions are inside the image which you need to extract out to use in tso2pmx. Being able to apply the proportions while exporting to PMX is what separates the boys from the men.

for the background just click on background in mmd and select load background picture file and select a red background pic (even a shitty image made from paint works, for best results the pic's resolution needs to be the same as the screen size of mmd). after that select show background picture.
for the hand gesture, you can make it quickly if you use the grabbing hand pose files from your default pose folder (they are named 右手半開き and 左手半開き, for right and left respectively), then lower the thumbs and the wrists, and play a little with the shoulders and arms. also lower a bit the middle bones of the other fingers so it doesn't clip between them.

for the breast being that large you will have to find other proportions files (which are .cs files) and put them in the proportion folder, after that once you load the program, a new proportion option will appear and you can toggle how big you want.
the cs files tend to be a bit personal, since you can make them on your own in 3dcg

1. Open the model in PmXEditor

2. Go to Edit -> Run Plug-in DLL

3. Click the little box and open the IKMakerX.dll. It's in PmxEditor\_plugin\System

4. A window should have popped up full of runes. If the maker of the model wasn't a complete dipshit, the bones should already be filled in correctly. Tick both of the "IK Wrist" boxes. Click Run. Takes a few seconds to do it's thing. Close the IK maker window.

5. If you want your IK arms to move with no bone/just the motherbone:

Go to the Bone tab and change the "Parent" for IKRightArm and IKLeftArm to whatever number your motherbone is. If your model doesn't have a motherbone, set the value to -1.

Save the model under a different name, in case you fucked up.

6. Make more lewds.
