I'm all for the "Fuck da police" mentality and all. But on the other hand, it's one less incentive for modelers to make high quality models now.

The existence of the Windows100% high quality models, some of which were based on popular anime characters/mascots, was really only possible because the magazine commissioned their creation. With money, you know. Models like Kanon would not have existed.

Without that sponsor, what reason will people like Kakomiki have to create high quality models for the public to rip apart, stitch onto other models, and fap too? Passion? Yeah right.

Every model from Windows 100% goes public eventually due to it's popularity. And they are almost always the highest quality. I'd have preferred that over small-time model makers and their secret riddles.

But even a professional magazine gets fucking butthurt over something like this. Goddamn it Japan.

Well since no one want to help me make a pantiless Iroha V4 soft model, I had to do it all by myself. I managed to make Iroha's butt as it should be in Blender, now I might need help on editing the texture, and of course I'm not good at it all because of the details I have to make on it. If by details you mean the hard baked shadows then don't worry. Since with hard baked shadows you usually need to turn off the MMD shadow off for the model to look good. If you remove the hard baked shadows then you just need to turn on the shadows. Which I would advise since it seems you aren't using any UV mapping tools.

Can someone help me with this problem I'm having?

I'm trying to load a background avi file. The file loads just fine at first, but it doesn't start playing at the very start of the motion but at frame 12, and then at frame 5070 or after it, I get the "can't open avi" error. The file I'm trying to load is an avi container with a h264 video stream and no audio and it works great in all the media players I have. It's a pretty big file though (2.8 GB, 100 000 kbps bitrate), I wonder if that might be causing it.

Anyone have a nude base that fits the looks of either one of these models? I can probably adjust the height of the base well enough to fit IO if it's taller, but I cannot find a base that fits either one of them. All either too feminine or too masculine.

That didn't work, turns out you need an actual 3D monitor that isn't supported to tweak it into being supported. Tried it on my normal monitor and it made it act funny and I had to roll back the drivers. However I'm not trying to view 3D on my monitor, I just want to enable rendering in 3D (in MMD) on my 2D monitor.

Lately i have heard a lot about Blender instead of MMD
but the question is, can you directly load mmd models in it or do you need some kind of work around or plugin for it?
is it worth it? is it actually easier to work with blender than mmd? in what sense?

Blender just has a better, more efficient work flow IMHO. It is a much bigger learning curve and for some things you'll be using plugins and work arounds - Despite that you're still going to finish a project faster in my experience.
