Can you DIY cellulose insulation in walls like this with the standard rental unit or do you need a special blower?
Bats are better for walls.

Yeah, the blown stuff will just settle over time and in a few years the top half of your room will be essentially uninsulated. Blown is for horizontal applications like attic floors.

This stuff uses resin so make it stick and set hard. It's quite specialist. Often found in applications where fire proofing and sound insulation are key.
Seems like a lot of trouble to go through at home.

Resin and celulose is fireproof?
>>923316
Not necessarily the same materials but the same application.

Nothing is fireproof. Excluding the noble elements which are nonreactive, *everything* will combust if hot enough.
The proper terminology is thus fire retardant, which means things are harder to burn then normal.
Fire proofing is the process of making something fire retardant.
Thus, the terminology as used was correct and you are being a grammar fag. Stop it, or I will have to out grammarfag you a second time.

And because I'm a nitpicking annoying bastard I do have to say that most of the noble gasses can form molecules, can't remember which though. A friend of mine got a paper to science if I remember correctly because of noble gas molecules. It's easy to publish good with those studies as there are only eight of the noble gasses that can form anything...

Xenon, Krypton & Argon can all form compounds. Radon can react with Fluorine (fucking Fluorine, man) to create the stupidly short lived RnF2.

All materials in house construction have a smoulder, ignition, and flame spread rating. Some are better than others at preventing fires from spreading. But, seriously, who cares about your insulation when your entire fucking house is made out of shitty pine? At most you'll have a molten pile of fiberglass holding together what is left of the ashes of your house.

Hurr, shitty pine stick amerifat housing. Superior euro bricks stronk. Never burn at 10,000 degrees. Survive on surface of sun. Folded 10,000 times, cut through inferior Amerifat tank.

>post results of a direct hit from a bomb
>doesn't post results of a wooden amerifat shed getting blown over from bomb shock waves.

...

Read your own book. They used thousands of tons of normal bombs in addition to incendiary bombs.
>>923747
You butthurt?
>>923793
No. I'm tired of the same eurofag trolls all the time

OP, buddy, stay away from that shit. Its fire retardant sucks, turns into paper mache with water, and it STILL burns. My buddy's place almost burned down trying to sweat a copper pipe close to a wall with that shit. Get mineral/rock wool batts instead. Made from manmade lava & melt at 2150°F (1177°C), water repellent, and great sound barrier. Pricier but you get what you pay for.

Second that. Roxul is my favorite
