Need some help, diy. I bought a generator on black friday. A 5000 watt champion generator. Paid a good price, 390 before tax. Its a gas generator, how can i convert it to run on propane or turn it into a tri fuel generator?

Step 1: Return your sparkling new generator
Step 2: Buy a used generator to fuck with
Step 3: Proceed to fuck with generator

1. Don't care about resell value
2. If done right it has barely any loss in total capacity, it may drop down to 4500 running watts since propane burns 5-10% cooler than gas
3. Propane burns 100 times cleaner than gasoline, it will last a LOT longer, the fuel life is indefinite and I dont have to worry about the quality of the fuel
4. its 100 miles to the closest gas station that sells non ethanol gas.

I think the Champion uses a Rato engine(it's a Honda knock-off). Google Champion, Rato & propane carburtetors. I've seen a propane carb for about $50.

why?
alternatively, I think you don't need to convert anything to run off of wood gas or charcoal gas.
Diy it properly by just doing it, don't ask us to hold your hand.
There's a bazillion youtube videos out there, but really all you need to do is get gas into the cylinder with air and combust it.
Can't be that hard can it, Precious?

>gasoline
I thought he meant an actual gas like propane or methane. Yanks with their stupid misleading states of matter.

Yeah he wants to change it from gasoline to gas.

I remember it being the case in Britain when I was a kid. Good job they got rid of that because I thought it meant not flammable too.
Is Champion another Matrix sub-brand?
Assuming it is, there's plenty of identical machines under different names meaning you'd have a better chance of finding information.
