Hey, anons.
I was thinking of building my own (fullsize) arcade cabinet (none of that MAME bullshit, I think I'm doing a repro) using the plans from Donkey Kong, and I was wondering if any of you had a preference/some experience as to choosing between particleboard, mdf, and regular ply.
(mdo is not an option)
Particleboard is cheapest, but i've heard some concerns about strength.
What say you, /diy/?

I was looking at doing the same and from what I have gathered:
>do it with a mame emulator because you'll never get the original arcade feel without a CRT, which are rare now a days
>don't bother building your own cabinet as it would cost more than getting any decent gutted cabinet
But if you want to do it your way you can use regular ply wood from what I remember, you don't have to use furniture grade.
