Anyone ever make homemade alcohol before? This is about 3 1/2 days old. about a gallon of water, 3 big cups of sugar, 2 cups of brown sugar, regular baking yeast (instant yeast), a few cut up cherries and a vitamin B pill for nutrients for the yeast. Any idea how strong the alcohol will be and if it'll taste reasonable? Not going for world class taste obviously. lemme know

to reduce/remove the yeasty flavor without extra shit:
decant or siphon it when it stops bubbling. let it sit in the vessel until it clarifies. decant or siphon it again. keep doing this until there's no sludge on the bottom.
also bread yeast is shit. get some champaign yeast off amazon, shit's like a dollar a packet and a packet is good for 5 gallons
