I had to replace a roof tile and right now it's secure and won't go anywhere. I'm wondering how I'd go about sealing the edges, though. The picture attached shows what I mean.

You don't need a seal, you need to take that tile back out and put it in properly.
no, dont take it out! just push it up and out of the way, see if anything is keeping it from seating properly, then just play with it a bit until if falls perfectly into place.

You cut off the keyed edges (tongue) with a utility knife so the tile fits in and glue in place with some construction adhesive.

That's a ceiling not a roof.
Also, you have to take it back out and cut it to shape. Or get a new one if you cut it too small already.
You'd want to trim that tongue on the edge down so it'll fit snug.
It looks like the old tiles may have had overlapping tongues, and your new one just has symmetrical tongues on all sides. You may have to get creative with how you trim it if you want a flush fit, but please just take it back out and fit one correctly.
