I'm trying to hotwire this ultrasonic cleaner to just toggle on or off instead of having to use it in 8-minute increments because that's the max time on the timer. I've tried to figure it out myself, but I'm not too good at digital electronics. Anybody have any ideas?

Here is the circuit board under the control panel.

Close up of the chip. It says CD4820
>>1226723
what do the other boards look like?

This is the only other one. I THINK this board only powers and runs the unit/motor that provides the cleaning itself.

The six pin connector on the 9 o clock position on the edge of the board runs to the control board
CD4820 isnt a standard chip, it's the model number of the device. so, the chip is almost certainly a custom device we have no info about.
given that, the 2 simplest methods i can think of is to (1) add a circuit that simulates the pushing of whatever buttons are needed to restart the unit, or (2) add a switch that turns on the vibrator thingy at will. seems likely it's turned on by relay K1, and that you can force the relay on by applying the appropriate DC voltage across D5. measure voltage across D5 when operating, and then after the timeout, to confirm.

Thank you, I will give (2) a try

measure red/black of control board. probably +/-, probably 5v ish.
unplug from drive board and power on bench. operate while measuring other 4 leads.
construct circuit to simulate output.
also consider it might not be designed to do anything more than 8 minutes. does it let you reset immediately or require cooldown or unplug cycle to restart?
there are two relays, how many ultrasonic drivers are there?

OP, run it 8 minutes loaded, then feel what's hot & not on the bottom board
you may find out 10 minutes kills/melts something

It will let you run it immediately after its done a cycle unlike some toasters that pop up early the second or third time. It even lets you reset the time while it's still on. I've let it run for over an hour continuously before to no ill effect
