Hello /diy/ I posted that I had this rusty engine to put on a bike from a late night impulse shopping venture 4 years ago.
It sat in a bin outside for years until today! I'm going to disassemble it and clean it up, and mount it on a bike that is also in need of some love

Here are the bikes that will be merged into one to hold the motor. The blue one belonged to my grand parents and the red one was taken from a junk pile.

Toss the chain for sure. there's no coming back from that. Besides that.. the shitty chrome on the muffler [wasn't real clearly] just clean it off good, and use some high heat paint on it. Piston and head look good and clean, at least the sides I can see, if the gas tank has nasty rusty shit inside, just clean it good with what ever you think will work, and coat it with POR 15. the shitty china motor's carb jetting is normally really fucking off, so plan a small rejet.
but nice blogpost.

That's really what I was going for, just need the best methods to clean up the metal before reassembly. This is my first time screwing with a 2 cycle.
