I would like to have a fabric that goes from teal to purple (see picture).
Would it be better to start with a teal fabric and apply some purple dye to it in ombre like fashion?
Or start with white do dual dying?
* was thinking of buying broadcloth cotton teal fabric.

I don't know much about dyeing cloth but I know about mixing colours. if you dye purple over teal it will probably look kind of muddy. the middle part where the two blend probably won't look too bad, but as the purple gets stronger, the red in the purple and the green in the teal will make it look a little brownish. for the brightest colours you should start with white cloth.
