Anyone know much about cooling fan setups? I'm trying to put together a portable method of circulating air in my dorm room (portable meaning capable of being put in a carry-on). I've been considering grabbing some Ac Infinity fans and just sticking them by a window, but I'm having a little trouble deciding which to go for. If there is a better alternative to this that I am completely missing I am open to suggestions.

So who pays you to make these threads? Or is it rewarding in some other way?
Post a time-stamped photo of your dorm room. Of course, trolls can certainly reside in dorm rooms, but it would be a start.
I'm not there yet and this is just the fan I was told to try from a friend. I have a picture of the floorplan if that helps. Currently using a honeywell to cool a space thats roughly 1600 cubic feet which would be great to take with but can't really fly with that. Satisfied I'm not some sponsored idiot now?

So when you say "capable of being put in a carry on", it is because you actually intend to fly with this thing?
Why?

He's a terrorist. He intends on bringing it onto a plane. Everyone know hot air rises and cool air settles to the ground. He's crashing this plane with no circulation.

Because I'm going to a college a considerable distance from home, enough to make shipping costs irritating. Already figured out how to put an entire desktop computer into a checked bag. Plus, its likely that I will have to move back for the summers.

>Room Cooling
A fan does not cool, it just moves air, no matter which brand you worship.
