Hey guys! Cosplayer from /cgl/ here. I'm currently working on a cosplay and am wanting to make a Chain Chomp. Problem is I want it to be animatronic and have it open and shut its mouth at a switch of a button. I've tried google but I can't find anything whatsoever. I have a very open budget. Thank you!

Same q. as OP, but I'm considering to build a MoonMan animatronic.
So far I've been able to collect resources for voice synthesizer, and found out appropriate fabric to make MoonMan's suit, but right now I'm stuck about all the mecha part.
does some of you /diy/nausors have a blue print or some schemes ?
I would be glad to have it running for Halloween !

Servos are "easiest" but require some programming and a board.
There's reciprocating gear/piston-like linkages you can google and order parts for to make something do a chomping motion. The hardest part will be rigging it up in such a way that it's both visible and doesn't just fall entirely apart.
