are you designing a plane from scratch? unless you have a good amount of experience id recommend going off of one of the many good ultralight designs, the legal eagle xl is one of the cheapest and my favorite

I'd suggest a flat bottom airfoil with some thiccness to it for structural reasons.

You need to state your design constrains and goals:
>maximum operating altitude
>maximum speed
>minimum speed
>maximum weight
>typical weight
>wing span
>wing planform
>spanwise angle of attack distribution
>can we vary the aerofoil shape along the span?
>range of permissible aerodynamic moments
>where are you going to put your control surfaces?
>structural and other constrains on aerofoil shape
Or just look for NACA4412 or whatever.

use wirecutter and cut profiles . there is a soft to design those based on NACA profiles
