metal/wood rod stock holders
Check out Pinterest. On that site you can find a million projects for your hubby to do when he gets off of his daily 14 hour shift and start complaining that he never does anything he is supposed to do while you sit at home browsing that website pinning shit.
A fucking boot drier using PVC, a rubber coupling and a hair dryer. I should have made mine years ago. Many examples online and cheap to do.

use a heat gun and some plywood to press it into sheets
i made a chicken coup of them. a similar sized one would have been around $650 aud. the cost was only $90.
Store them and use them for shit when you need them. Around 6m is enough, you can sell the rest.
Recently I made a sheath for my boning knife. I just made the shape out of wood with the bandsaw and a fuck ton of sanding, then I used a heatgun to soften the pvc enough to stretch over it then I heated it then I pressed it into the wood with the back of a chisel.

Thinking of making an axe sheath the same way. Although I already have a sheath, its just made out of degradable fucking leather.

Common grades of stainless steel don't contain iron carbide grains, which prevents them from holding a good cutting edge. Suitable alloys probably exist, but they would be much more expensive. Common steels don't rust enough to matter with halfway decent maintenance in most environments, so there isn't demand for such axes anyway.
Literally anything.
