How do you remove a plaque that's held on solely by something like silicone sealant?
Simply keep jabbing and scraping at it, like the google results all seem to suggest?
I think the back is completely covered in the silicone as well, so that would take literal hours, and may very well damage the surface.
Or is there a solvent or something?
chisel it off. google it you retard, this isnt a request board

Bought a house and I want to remove the previous owner's plaque.
It's on a nice white natural stone pillar, so I want to avoid any damage.

if its silicone, could use the same stuff in removing car windows so guitar wire, braided fishing line or hell cheese wire might do it

This, use thin but strong wire and use a sawing motion.

piano wire or guitar string should do it.
Toothbrush, that'll sort out your plaque problem.

hot air gun to a ~100C should loosen it up enough to drive a thin wire behind it
fishing line or dental floss works great
OP here, I'm going to try the wire thing.
Local hardware store has nothing of the sort, so I'm going to have to swing by the music store lmao.
