I'm looking into making a backpack speaker system for parties, and I'm not talking some Bluetooth speaker either. I have a good budget ~$250 and some supplies already (SLA battery, large backpack, X2 5 1/4" Sony Xplöd car speakers, 12" Kicker Sub).
The main problem is finding a good amp, speaker config, and just general installation. I have a stock 2006 Ford Taurus radio which would be really cool to get up and running but it's probably crap and I wouldn't know how to hook it up.
I've made many bad purchases in the quest for a good system and I want to settle it here for the ultimate deal. Also, loud/deep bass is a requirement

you are looking at portable PA systems, for that budget Behringer MPA40BT-PRO is a good choice, which would be good enough for anything your "party" will ever need

Well, you gonna meed wuite the battery. And i highly suggest a cooler with wheels ass this shit is gonna be intense. A 250 watt or bigger amp depending on the sub should be plenty if ots also kicker. Get a 1 channel mono amp.
If you want to get a cheapass cd player they are like 60 bucks at walmart and u can run it with your phone. Get the amp there also. Jist run the speakers to the radio.
How many watts rms and max does that sub say?
