Knitted a hat last year. I don't think he was disappointed. I asked his opinion on pattern and everything. But it's not really a hat fit a man. And he already has many nice hats so I don't blame him for not using it.

My immediate family has never really been big into all the holidays.
Yeah there is Christmas and thanksgiving I guess, but its always pretty hollow and nobody really cares. Half the time people dont even show up
