I recently went to visit my parents. My mom has a table that was made for her grand parents as a wedding present in the early 1900s. It was built in Lampasas TX by someone related to them. We assume that the wood was locally sourced but we have no idea what kind of wood they used. Can anyone identify this wood?

Looks like quarter sawn red oak, not american though so that's just an educated guess
