Hey /diy/
Recent mechanical technologist grad looking to get into the field of building systems and HVAC. To a lesser extent plumbing, and gas work. Would like to help build homes wether it's design or sales- preferably somewhere I can work with people or get my hands dirty
Got any recommended intro reading? I'd like to get a better grasp before really deciding on it and It would be ideal to have some knowhow should I start applying to these kind of jobs.
Would love to hear if you guys have experience with any of this stuff.

Kinda like the idea of duct work but this seems like it has a lot of application

$1000+ for 4 hours of work, pretty good money.

Holy shit, that how much you guys get paid?
I have a technician's degree (called technical engineer for some reason) in HVAC and plumbing. Time to make bank.

Contact the contracts on the list and ask how much to install a mini split.
Multi-split prices are even more insane. Often quotes of $10,000 for a day's work.

Check out contractor forums and learn the business. You could work for one doing installs for a while to get field experience which doesn't come from books or doing labs. There's money to be made.

The guys designing these must be making even better money

What're you doing with it presently?
